Tastes changed as compared to foods

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks since I started snusing that I have absolutely no desire for fast food at all. Maybe there is the psycological complex of snus having less chemicals and therefore not wanting the chemicals from fast food. I much prefer a simpler cooked at home meal now and will forgoe food from a fast food joint for something as simple as a pbj if the rest of my family wants fast food.

Anyone else notice their desire for certain foods or drinks(alcoholic or non) changed from snusing?

The fact is, if you were a smoker before, you couldn't taste or smell things correctly at all. You probably just realize how horrible the stuff really is!

Although, that doesn't stop me from eating it occasionally, LOL.

It could just be too that you are thinking more about what's bad for you and what's not, and they might be part of it.

EXACTLY. Even though anti-smoking organizations claim it takes three days for taste buds to fully recover after smoking, for me, at least, it took a whole month. When I smoked, I would eat Taco Bell almost everyday! Now, I can only eat it every once in a while. I'm more of a Subway guy now.

Bleh. Subway is a ripoff with all bread and nothing really inside. I prefer some of the local sandwich shops instead.

Agreed! There's a great loose-meat sandwich shop in town that's absolutely amazing. Not even subs!

It took me about a week before I started tasting / smelling things again after I quit smoking. I can't even stand to be around cigarette smoke anymore, it amazes me how much of a difference it makes.

Well, if you went grocery shopping more often then maybe your wife wouldn't have to serve fast food all the time!
              Kidding

I've noticed I don't want food anymore. That's cool because I'm fat...I need to lose about 30 pounds. Getting into snus has helped me not want food because it doesn't mix well with food and no matter how much I rinse I can't get that taste out of my mouth.
I'd much prefer snussing to eating. Yay! Good for me!

I do go grocery shopping. It's just hard to walk out the door when I know that as soon as I leave you'll be hitting my cans of snus and then trying to act all innocent later.
