Skruf Stark White Review

So Buysnus, in their attempt to make it up to me, also included a can of the new Skuf Stark White. It still wasn't yet on their website when I made my last order, so I was VERY excited to try it out.

Some background first. I so wanted to love Skruff Stark. In it;s day, it seemed like the perfect snus for me. A strong jolt of nicotine, and good strong tobacco taste. but the problem was it was just TOO strong. I could never keep one in for too long before the flavor overwhelmed me. And this was long before I made my wholesale switch to whites.

So I was curious how the white version would be. And let me tell you, I absolutely love it. From a taste perspective, I may even like the taste slightly more than Thunder. It is a classic white, mellow, not to strong at first. But unlike some whites, you taste the tobacco right away. The nicotine content is strong, not quite as smooth delivery as the Thunder, but not overwhelming.

If you already a re a Skruf fan, you should most definitely try it. If you have stayed away from Skruff since the taste was so strong, you definitely MUST try it.

Glad you liked it. I still think Skruf is a perfect all day everyday snus (although maybe not the stark portions)

I just got a can of the Original portions and I will add a review of that as soon as I try it.

Are their whites nice and plump like the regular portions, or skimpy and basically a rip-off like Swedish Match?

They are plump, they are juicy, they are fresh.

I usually don't go for white portions because oftentimes the portion material seems more harsh, these are not. They're almost like the black portions when it comes to the material.

I love the new white Skrufs. Contrary to my experience with other white portions, I actually find these to be more true to the flavor of Skruf Stark Los than the original portions. The material is superb, and the flavor lasts a very long time and the portion stays comfortable. This is a high quality, long lasting snus. I think I prefer the whites to the originals, and I am not much of a white portion user.

Re: the question about plumpness, the white portions are flatter than the originals, but the quantity of snus is not lacking. The flatter feel of the white portion helps me keep it in place, whereas with the originals I find myself messing with it, biting it, folding it... as I said the whites feel very comfortable for quite a long time, and I also think they are generally more moist and fresh than the originals, something that must be attributed to the difference in portion material. Non-skruf fans should definitely give it another try with the white portions. Excellent snus!

These are absolutely superb.

If you like the taste and kick of Skruf, but prefer white portions, go ahead and order a roll. The most comfortable white portion I have had the pleasure of snusing.

That's too bad. I love the shape of Skruf portions because they stay in place better... at least for me. However, I will throw in a can of White with my next order out of curiosity.

I've now tried this and I agree with everyone here, this is a superb snus. I was scared at first because they are described on northerner as citrus and rose, and I hate the smell of roses so would imagine I wouldn't want the flavor of them sitting in my mouth. But it blends great with the flavor of the tobacco. I don't think I would rank it quite as highly as the thunder, but it is definately a snus I want to always have around (though perhaps in regular strength because I think thunder will be taking over my consumption of stark portions).

Two years into this BrianC, and I have discovered something. You can never have too many stark portions. :wink:

Even discounting my roll of Thunder, my last order had more stark snus than regular. Don't think I have ever done that before, but what I seem to want these days.

Same here. 80% of the time that's what I'm reaching for it seems. I'm really loving the new options. All of them pretty much comprise my top 5 right now except, well.. you know which one. Not going to beat a dead horse :wink:

Skruf Stark white is the BOMB!!

It tastes so damn good!!

I love skruf stark loose and the white is way closer in flavor than the original portions ever were.
