Ok, so as Ive said i have tried Camel Snus and its not all that bad, actually a good change up from swedish snus from time to time.
On their website they even talk about snus in sweden and I believe they actually sell their product their as well.
So for RJR i give them 2 thumbs up for marketing, packaging and a lil bit of education as to what it is ( even though I think snus in america wont take off until the companies actually find a way to convey to the consumer what it is and how to use it )
But i was checking on what Marlboro brands have been up to.
I occasionally use their dip and actually enjoy it. But i got something in the mail today saying the product line will be discontinued in Feb 09.
So i went to see about their snus.
Turns out it comes in this really thin foil package, similar to foil packed gum, and only has 6 pouches per foil pack. LMAO
Their whole pitch is the foil pack fits into your cig package so you can snus when you cant smoke.
But i know of numerous companies that do not even allow tobacco on the property and you can be terminated if they find you with tobacco on the property.
I would imagine it would be easier to have snus on you , as most americans dont even know what the hell it is, than a pack a cigs and get away with it.
Plus i would imagine, you can see the packages on their website, that these foil packs arent durable at all.
I still prefer Swedish Snus from Sweden but it would be nice to see an American Company make a snus thats actually snus.
So far Camel is the only company taking snus serious. ( Triumph doesnt count as they are made by Swedish Match )
