    Yet another new snuser!

    Hey Everyone,

I recently discovered the wonders of swedish snus (and this great forum!) after a little online research.

I'll be honest--I love smoking. I started smoking a little more than a year ago, but never more than one or two cigarettes a day. It has, thus far, been more of a ritual than an addiction, but as time has worn on, I've decided that the pleasure of even one Nat Sherman a day is just not worth the health risks. I had little trouble giving up that one cigarette a day, but I still wanted to be able to enjoy tobacco and a good ole' nicotine buzz--especially when drinking!

    Hence, SNUS!!!!

Anyway, I placed an order with Northerner about a month ago for a sample box, and let me just say that I wish I had found snus sooner! I can enjoy a single portion of snus for far longer than a cigarette, and I seriously doubt that one or two portions a day poses much health risk, if any at all.

So far, my favorites are General (with Coke) and Ettan (with coffee). I also really like Goteburgs Rape #2 and just today tried General Onyx for the first time, which I'm REALLY digging. At the moment, I'm still searching for a snus to pair with the cheap, light beer that is so readily available here on campus...perhaps some of you have suggestions?

Anyway, that's me--hope to see you round on the forum!

Welcome to the forum, dragon. It's nice to hear you've discovered snus for yourself and that you're enjoying it so much.

I'm sure everyone has their own idea of what goes well with cheap beer. I'd choose something salty like Lucky Strike regular portions. It's sort of like having salted peanuts or pretzels or party mix or popcorn, which all go well with cheap beer.

Not to mention you won't feel bad wasting the Lucky Strike's. :P Okay okay, I know it's just my personal opinion.

Hmmm, Lucky Strikes sound like they might be just the thing. I got a tin of original portions in my first order, and have only tried them a couple times. I've liked them, but have found them very salty. With cheap beer, however, that might indeed be a good thing.

Personally I'd go for Knox. Its cheap and I think it goes well with lighter, cheaper beers

I'm glad you joined SnusOn, Dragon, and it's always good to hear of another ex-smoker!

Lucky Strikes are my favorite. The toasted flavor is amazing, especially with coffee. I never noticed an over-salty flavor, but I'm also used to salt.
