How many portions a day?

This post is for those of you who use the portion method of snus. How hooked on the snus are you, I mean really? lol. I myself am using about 10 a day.

My median consumption is probably 11. If I'm using regular strength portions, I will use around 13; strong portions bring me down to 8. However, if alcohol is involved, my consumption can skyrocket to nearly a whole can, especially if they're regular strength portions.

Here's the consumption results of a study done by BAT:

Male consumption of ‘portion snus’ was 11.8 grams per day on average while the female group consumed 8.5 grams per day on average. Male users of ‘portion snus’ consumed 12 pouches a day on average compared to 10 pouches a day for female ‘portion snus’ users. ‘Loose snus’ consumption was 29.5 grams per day on average

About eight on an average day. On the weekends or on a really sucky workday I will hit more. 1/3rd of a can vs nearly a full can of dip makes snus a money saver for me.

wow, for me it's about 4-8. I noticed that former dippers use a bit less than former snokers, for the most part.

I'm at about 4-5 on average weekdays. But then I have about 3-4 pinches of loose and 2-3 cigarettes. If I used portion snus exclusively it would therefore be 9-12. I use no portions most weekends.

I started using loose successfully at work yesterday, so that portion number might drop even more.

Normal snus, I chain snus from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to slesep. So anywhere from 15 - 18 a day. With Thunder, about half that.

I always do more than one portion at a time, even with thunder... so about 8?

6-10 (prillas and portions), or to be more more precise 3-7 portions, because lössnus is about one third of my consumption.

Around 15 most days. It's kinda too much, seeing the snus is pretty expensive here in Norway. It costs 65 kr, or around 10 dollars for a can.

Yeah I guess so.
But almost everything is more expensive in Norway than for example in Sweden or Denmark. I mean, people are driving over the border to Sweden to buy cheaper bacon, snus and alcohol. :P
And it has been quite a tradition for the government to raise the prices of tobacco by 10% in the last years. 2 years ago the prices was around 8 dollars, now they are really a bit more than 10. :S

Ah, a fellow Englishman! I wish Rutland had it's own snus forum, but with a total county population of 38,000, it's not gonna happen, unless I drag a few of my mates into the swedish way of life.

No this forum sates my appetite for snus chat, some cool people on. I'm on a couple of times a day, posting and devising ingenious polls :wink:

I'm quite new to snus John, and I must say, it's a great buzz. I'm ordering some Thunder soon, for my coffee in the morning.

Maybe I'll have to buy the domain RutSnus.co.uk :lol:
