If you've not heard it already a hundred times from others, freeze the tins you're not using to keep them fresh

If the snus will be consumed till the best before date, there is no freezing needed. In fact, freezing will not leave the snus unchanged. It may taste (a little) worse, than it would, if it were kept in the fridge. I think, the Swedes keep their snus in the fridge (not the freezer) for good reason.

It's a matter of personal taste, so a new snus user should test it and not just freeze all the snus immediately. It may be a matter of the single freezer and the packaging, too, if the freezing works well (without freezer burn etc.).

But yes, to cut the costs, placing bigger orders and (partially) freezing them, is overall a good idea.

BTW, as already mentioned in another thread, I'm again snusing a Portion of Skruf Stark, that was best before April 20 and not frozen. It's still not really gone bad, but now, I have some pleasant anticipation for a new shipment. The tobacco-taste has become a little too pure

      Cheers!

I started using with portions but when I had my first loose, I never went back to portions. Surely I've used portions few times after but it just doesn't do the trick anymore. Loose is my thing.

          loose, defenetly.
But the portions have their uses, for work and whenever spitting a huge
peece of tobaco out of your mouth is not very "delicate".

But in every other way, loose is superior.

for playin hockey portions are definitely the way to go since the pris of loose would quickly disintegrate if you're getting hit multiple times. Although spitting isn't a big deal on the ice with portions since the saliva freezes on the ice
besides one of my favorites snuses, lucky strike, isn't available in loose..but then again im not a loose snuser xD
