I haven't seen others with the same taste. Some interpret it as chocolate notes.

The long term after taste of another Oden's classic portion was pretty bad. It was akin to a faint odor of cleaning ammonia. So perhaps not what you want if you habitually keep portions in for 2 hours.

In reality the (Oden´s) tin has no silver ornaments on top. Only slightly embossed black in black, rather difficult to see unless you tilt the can to reflect light in the right angle.

Well, I just got my order with 2 tins of Oden's Cinnamon los...

First impressions...really like the tin look. Black on black embossed logo on top...very classy. Smells great...the cinnamon scent really comes through, but not overpowering.

BUT...I've had 3 pris so far....1st one fell to shiz instantly, so I'll chalk that up to improper baking. Used the pris master for the 2nd and 3rd, and really packed it hard. The grain on this is VERY ruff. Looks more like coffee grounds and bakes terribly. Even the ones baked with the pris master. This stuff fell apart in about 15 minutes. Useless there.

Flavor? Well...not bad. I would wish for more cinnamon flavor in taste, but you really get the scent when you breath in with a pris in. That is nice, just too subtle in the taste factor for me.

Why I will cross this off my list....I did get a head rush, which was good because I use sterk snus exclusively (Skruf Stark los, and white portions, Grov Black, and General Extra Sterk - can't wait for that in los). This stuff though gave me a headache after 10 minutes. Not good.

Oden's Cinnamon los beats Thunder by a long shot, but due to the cut/baking quality, headaches, and not as expected flavor. I will not buy this again.

Keep in mind that I am not saying it is a bad snus....it is just NOT for me. Which sucks, cause I was really excited to try it.

Landströms was outstanding and I loved the traditional shaped oval (well not quite oval) can. It's a shame that no other company picked it up. When I lived in the UK often a brewery would go under and another larger brewery would start producing their beer.

I just popped in and Oden's Original, and I'm picking up a vanilla taste. It's sweet and salty with the tobacco more in the background. Big fat portions too, and they take a while to get going...

I have tried the Oden's Extra Stark Original and Kanel, as well as the Oden's Classic Kanel.

I still have not formulated any conclusions about the Original flavor.

Oden's Kanel Classic (8mg/g) and Extra Stark (17mg/g)

              Scent/Appearance
The Extra Stark in particular smells like ammonia, but if you leave the cap off for a few minutes, the light scent of cinnamon shines through. This is more apparent with the Classic.

The can is average (it's plastic though ), but the labeling and ornamentation is very well-designed. I love the theme; a huge viking sword, wolves, and ravens (remember Odin's two ravens?).

The tobacco is brown; it looks kind of like Thunder loose. The grind is more difficult to bake by hand than many snuses. An Icetool makes the process much easier, and helps make a more compact pris. The bottom line: I've kept a pris in for up to an hour, and for me that's long enough.

              Flavor
The cinnamon is smooth, herbal, and not too sweet. It is an earthy cinnamon rather than the sweet kind which you would find in products such as chewing gum. There's a slight saltiness in the background, but the main flavor in this snus is cinnamon. I am a big fan of cinnamon, so I'm a big fan of this snus. One of the greatest merits of this snus is that the cinnamon is not overpowering, but instead is present just enough to be well-balanced and perfectly enjoyable. It is mellow enough to be enjoyed as an all-day snus, and it doesn't burn or sting your mouth like many cinnamon products.

              Conclusion
Now that I have tried both varieties of the kanel, I find that I very much enjoy this snus, particularly the 8mg variety. This is an excellent snus if you enjoy cinnamon as a spice/flavor. Cinnamon is a very ancient spice, mentioned in the Bible and used widely throughout history. A new chapter is added to the rich legacy of this spice with the introduction of this cinnamon snus.

                Oden's Clasic Kanel, portion.

Has anyone opened up a portion of this? The texture seems to be a bit unusual..
