Made a mistake

Hey a fellow Texan

Not much I can say that others haven't said. As a relatively new snuser myself, I've just gone through the learning curve you just started. I quit smoking in November, about 2 weeks after I first used Snus.

As far as the flavors go, in my mind I tend to break them up into 4 catagories:

Traditional Flavored: General, Grov, N&J, Skruf, Knox, Kronan, Jak Original, Ettan, etc

Fruit/Herb Flavored: Gote Rape #1/#2. Roda Lacket, N&J East, Gotland Green/Yellow, Jak Icefruit, many Offroad flavors

Mint: General Wintergreen, Elixyr Peppermint, Offroads mint selections

Other: Probe, Jak Icefruit (kinda a mixture of fruit and mint), etc

Hope that helps somewhat. I only listed brands I've tried, so if you have any questions I can tell you my impressions.

I also started with Camel Snus and liked both the Frost and Mellow flavors. I ordered by first cans of Swedish Snus about a week ago and have fallen in love with both the General White portions and the Ettan portions.

See that's odd to me. The taste between the Camel and General is COMPLETELY different. I'm guessing you probably would've like the General to begin with.

Camel tastes nothing like any Swedish Snus I've tried. I also started on Frost. In fact, if you browse back in the forums to November, I posted a thread saying much the same as you. WTF is this stuff, it tastes nothing like Camel.

Just keep with it. I'm still not a huge fan of General (blasphemy I know). On the other hand, I love most of the fruit/herb catagory I listed above. I also enjoy several of the tradional brands/flavors.

My first three orders were 12-15 single cans of different brands. Just keep trying till you find the ones you like and the ones you don't.

Loose is a whole different monster. People like myself love it, other people just never get the hang of it (or dont feel like putting in the work involved).

Face it my friend, some of us DID do the work, got the hang of it, and just decided we liked portions more. :wink:

Which puts you into the "or didnt feel like putting in the work involved" category.

Dang, I was just in San Antonio (Lackland) on a TDY from the 1st until 7th of Feb. I would've been more than happy to grab that stuff from ya! :lol:

Before your order comes in, pick up a can of Triumph and start to steer towards that and away from the Camels. It'll make the transition alot easier from Camel's snus to actual swedish snus.

Welcome aboard! I'm glad you didn't give up so quickly. But if you decide you like Camel's the best and stick to them, that's awesome. Just don't smoke any more cigarettes.

Any recommendation on where to find it? I haven't seen it online. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Maybe others have been recently added, but the only places I know where you can buy it is Ohio and Georgia. Don't think you will find it online.

But someone you have been talking a lot to and has been very helpful here to you, a HERO even, happens to live in Georgia. he has been kind enough to send me Triumph, perhaps he can be sweet talked into doing the same for you.

Also, I got up about 45 minutes ago and after brushing my teeth (fell asleep with a Camel in my cheeck) I put in a General white. I'm only just able to taste it as it's now getting moist.

I will say that I'm still not completely enjoying it but y'all were right - it does mellow out a bit and is much better than my experiences yesterday. Plus I can tell it's got more of a punch than what I'm used to.
