    Lucky Strike Portion.

    My quick review.

I just had my first Lucky Strike Portion, and boy is it good! My friend used to Smoke Lucky Strike Cigarettes, so I was curious.

The can is awesome. It peals away to leave you with a flat black color and a classy can for display.

The smell does smell more like cigarette tobacco than most snus, and the salt content seems slightly lower, but that could just be my dry mouth speaking.

The taste is divine, finally the tobacco taste I was looking for a snus!

    Thank you Lucky Strike!

I got a can of white and they're pretty damn nice. They're saltier than Ettan by far, but not as salty as Retro. It's got a bit of spice to it along with a mellow straight up tobacco taste. Glad you're enjoying it.

I got the original portions, I heard the whites were too salty. If you like your snus salty then go for it.

This has a distict smokey flavor.

Thanks guys. I will try them both, I really like Ettan portions but hope the LS whites are not way too salty. Will get 5 regulars and 1 white to test.

The whites are salty, but it's not overpowering IMHO. I think the regulars run a little too much, but I like the flavor better. LS is an occasional for me.

Like Jason said, the whites are salty but not overly so. You might be a bit surprised at first, but it's a quick adjustment. I went from Ettan which has quite little to Lucky Strike, which has plenty, and it only took a few days to adjust to it with only 1 portion a day. If it gets too much just take a sip of something you think would go with it. For me strong black tea worked well. I also found that after getting used to saltier snuses I can pick up more flavor with other snuses like Ettan and Grov.

First time ordering LS and asuming it has a nice tobacco flavor like Ettan but stronger. Is that about right?

Lucky Strike Original is my favorite snus flavor-wise. Period. The unique "toasted" flavor simply can't be compared. I'm glad someone made a topic praising Lucky Strike; there have been too many topics ridiculing this amazing snus lately.

I am glad to have seen this thread as LS might become a favorite of mine too. Now with all the posts for LS, I can't wait to receive mine

Ettan's flavor seems to be unique among snus. LS has a somewhat 'toasted' flavor to it, and it's much saltier than Ettan. At first the salt may overwhelm you if Ettan is what you're used to, but you adjust in a few days to a week. While it's a more strait tobacco taste, it differs. That's my take on it, anyway. Try it out and you'll find out for yourself. I like to throw it into rotation to mix things up. And now that I'm used to saltier snus I can appreciate it more.

Thanks guys. changed the original order to 2 whites and two original portions instead of 5 original and 1 white. Probably the safest way to try two cans of each and then decide which one to order in the future. I don't know how long it took for you to determine which ones were your favorites, but this is my fifth order and two months (going into third) of snusing and still haven't found all my favorites. Can't wait to find 4-5 favorites and just order rolls good enough for couple of months.

Being a big fan of straight tobacco flavored snus, how does LS OP compare to Ettan OP in terms of pepper? I hope it's not pepperier since I've read alot of good things about LS snus and am eager to try it out.

I've tasted the most pepper in nick and johnny strong portions. Can't say I liked it much.

lucky strike isn't too peppery. At first I tasted a lemony flavor, but no one else seems to taste that so it must be some other dietary habit of mine contributing.
