    I hate to admit

Well my friend just gave me a Camel snus mellow to try out and I have to say that they taste fantastic. It is like candy and so was the frost ones I had. I find myself sucking on the snus for the flavor. It however is very unsatisfing as far as nic goes. Makes me want to throw in a real portion of ettan or something with it, or worse yet, go smoke a cig. Maybe I could use these as after dinner mints.

My worms wouldn't even eat the camel snus.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I like the occasional Camel snus. I used to love the spice flavor. I guess the mellow is what replaced the spice. Haven't gotten to try that one yet. They sell it here now, I just haven't had the need/desire to go buy any.

Anyways, nothing wrong with enjoying Camel snus. It is a unique beast, but as you mentioned is lacking in the nic department. The portions are, however only a bit larger than your typical mini portion. 2 camel portions should suffice in that department.

I've seen scathing opinions of Camel snus on here, but I can't comment, never tried it. I'm intrigued.

I gave my buddy my open can of Camel Snus Mellow. I just didn't like either of the Camels after I had General Dry Mini Mint. I forgot to give him a General... but oh well. He has never done any of it, but he's like me, or was like me, an occasional cigg smoker, sho wanted to quit totally. He hasn't gotten back with me yet if he likes it. We just stopped and had lunch together, and he had to do some stuff.

i bought a tin of mellow and frost at the gas station down the road. i've tried the mellow, and it wasn't as bad as i was expecting. had i never tried quality snus before i would probably consider this as a good idea when i couldn't smoke. the price is way too high. the tins are a bitch to open, and they don't give you many portions. my hats are off to r.j. reynolds. great way to introduce a product to the americans. i love the way they overcharge for an inferior product especially during these times of economic turmoil. u.s. tobacco companies have the perfect situation to offer something wonderful and inexpensive to the public and gain a true following, but instead they choose to try an exploit the ignorance of most americans. way to go big tobacco. i am in awe of you.

There's nothing wrong with Camel if you take it on it's own terms. Do you guys have those Nescafe International instant coffees over there? Cappuccino, Irish Cream, Hazelnut...? They're really damned tasty. Expensive for what you get, but they taste really nice. When you compare them to the real thing, they're garbage though. I'll take a real cappuccino to Nescafe any day of the week.

Camel's the same way. If you don't call it snus, and appreciate for it's sweet minty goodness, it's quite good. I'll still take my Gotland Gul over Camel any time though :^)

Yeah, we have nescafe gold blend over here. Not really gold standard though, more like bronze, or tin. I do enjoy a gingerbread latte when I go into town, and if i'm out at lunchtime, a double espresso is nice. To be honest, I mostly drink tea. or rooibos.

I tried Camel Frost only after switching from dip to snus. There was not enough nicotine to do anything for me, and I tossed the tin in the fridge. Near the end of last week I was introducing a good friend who smokes to snus. He tried a General Sterk white portion, turned red, started sweating and hiccuping, and spit it out within two minutes. After that disaster, I followed up with a Camel snus: he decided he liked it and walked out with the tin. It may not be *real* snus, and it is not for me, but it appears to have a market waiting.

PS: Yeah, in retrospect, I should have started my friend off with a mini, but he smokes quite a bit and I thought it would take at least a stark to satisfy him. Never smoked myself, apparently dip was a much more efficient delivery system.

Other than the Camel snus, the only other I have had is the General Dry Mini Mints, which I like alot. My question is, nicotine, is it more in the General than the Camel? As the Camel actually gave me a bad feeling, yet the General doesn't at all. I do a General, and a little time later, I want another. It didn't happen like that with the Camel at all. Also the material of the pouches in the General was way better, tasting that is, not that it tasted, but the texture of it in my mouth. I just overall really like these dry mini mints, and next time I order from them again, I may get a roll.

Camel doesn't have much nicotine, but then again, neither do Swedish mini's/ I suspect they are close.

Camel Mellow is definitely better than the Frost flavor, but I can't even finish the whole can! After an hour, the flavor turns from "Mellow" to ultra-sweet and artificial syrup-like.

                            Pretty Good

My cousin just brought a couple of tins back from the States. I also hate to admit it, but I like it. The Mellow has the sweetness of American chaw and none of the drawbacks: no drool, no hiccups, low carcinogens and not too much nicotine (which I prefer). I just wish that they put more portions in a tin. Pretty good stuff, all in all.

I would actually use the camel snus sometimes because I do like the taste, but I can't get past 15 portions in a tin. Perhaps I am cheap, but when I can get tins with 24 portions for about the same price after shipping for better quality product, I just can't get myself to buy the camel. It is what first got me interested in snus though so I will give it that.
