Best snus bang for your buck

O.K. So there have been several questions on here regarding what the best cheap snus is. My question is a little different than these. What do you all think is the best snus for the price? Dollar for dollar, what snus is really the best buy? At the current time, I would have to say my pick is for N&J, I just don't get tired of it, and think the price is fair for the quality.

LOL, Coffey means best BANG FOR BUCK snus. You know...
      for $ $ $ $s

Then again, I'm gonna refrain from posting a recommendation as I don't know what people here accept as a tradeoff for gettin' that BANG.
I mean; would you accept a drier than average snus?
      A runnier than average snus?
A coarser than average snus? (You know, that prilla that seems to explode when you try to take it out, hahahahaha!)
      A sweeter/saltier than average snus?

Like carrying water to the ocean.

Craig, I'm was somehow expecting you to say offroad based on your recent post. Hell, you even convinced me to order a couple cans of the stuff. Can't wait to get it and give it a try. But yeah, I posted this because I just wanted to know what people thought was the best snus regardless of price. If you like the more expensive brands, that's great, just say why you think it warrents the price.

Id's say LD Black Portion, if you like salmiak/licorice-taste or Kronan, if you like citrus-taste.

I have not found cheap snus to be disgusting in general, but, the only snus, that i have thrown in the garbage can, was a cheap one (LD Guld loose, which tasted like toothpaste to me but may taste better to other members).

          Cheers!

That's the thing. Lately I'm starting to feel like I'm pimping this Offroad original a lot. A bit too much.
Taste is reason #1. For me there is no better taste at this moment.
It's strong. As strong as anything I need. I don't want or need a Mike-Tyson-right-hook-knockout nicotine kick. I haven't tried Skruf stark or N&J nor am I gonna for now.

Drawbacks? With me I've noticed *some* prillas I make with Offroad seem to fall apart when I take them out. It shouldn't really be a problem since you're taking it OUT anyway but having to spit out the bits of 'bacco sucks. It stays put nicely without dripping otherwise.
Depending on your ordering habits and preferred webshop, the added weight of the metal cans could mean ordering less cans than normal. On the other hand there are 2 dedicated Offroad webshops of which one seems to not charge extra for shipping rolls at a time to Europe. This -for me- would mean saving about 50% on a 10-can order. Only interesting for people who really dig Offroad. Mikemck ordered a roll of Offroad licorice only to resell me 9 cans of it 'cause he was expecting a different type of licorice taste.

Yeah I thought LD Gold was pretty OK. It reminded me of a better Ettan than Ettan itself because I think Ettan get dry pretty soon and sometimes makes my gums sore if I snus a lot on a day.
Having said that, I've only tried ONE can of LD Gold. I would order some more if hadn't found out my true love.

Splitting hairs here.Like does it have the knockout punch nick kick as Tyson or just how dumb is a bucket of rocks.Coarse or fine does not matter to me if it bakes well holds together taste good and has a GOOD nick kick. From the eight brands that I've tried Nick & Johnny and Skruf Stark are the two that do all the above plus good on the take out.Now before we go into the big bang theory.Would someone please define. Theory.

[BTW, I was being purely hypothetical in that piece of me you quoted.]

                ******************************************************* ****
Frankly, I don't expect *normal* Offroad to have more nicotine than N&J or Skruf Stark.
The latter two are actually marketed as high-nic snuses whereas Offroad has is not marketed that way.
Offroad *does* however have "normal" and "strong" portions of two tastes (Original and Cranberry) with 30% more nic.
                Look here: http://www.buysnus.com/Search.aspx?Cat=2&Sub=2

I have NOT tried those strong ones.

SO, judging by the fact that I've never tried high-nic snus (as advertised) I'll assume they're not your kinda thang.
But you know the thing about "assume", right?
The only way to be sure is to dare to try something different. In this case, a ~$5 can.

In general i have found that i don't like the cheaper brands enough to stay with them long. for a while i got on a "gonna save money on snus" kick. I tried a bunch of the cheap brands but never stayed with any of them for very long. i guess it's just me but i seem to come back to the same few brands no matter what i do. the latest brand that i seem to have added to my list is N&J loose. I might agree with Coffey about N&J being the best bang for the buck if i consider that I don't waste any N&J and it has plenty of nicotine. I guess the "nick" part of "nick and johnny" means nicotine but i still wonder what the johnny part means ;-)

Maybe it's like the slang meaning for 'john', or pimp. In this sense, the user will be the prostitute ('ho'). It's your nicotine and your exploiting, gold-chain wearing, Lincoln Continental-driving, backhand-slapping owner. Sorry, got carried away a bit, but you get the idea. That's my take. BTW, I do like N & J.

Well Craig, you are right about the Offroad loose. This stuff is great! I didn't know about it at first because when I opened the can, the smell reminded me of Granit, which is not one of my favs. But when I made a pris and threw it in, it was much better than expected. It does have that kind of peaty earthy taste that I found in Granit, but it also has a nice subtle sweetness that Granit does not. Overall very good for the price, and one of my new inexpensive favorites!

Aww man I gotta get me some soon. So much snus in the fridge and the one I really miss is that one.

Funny thing you came up with the Granit angle. It's been a long time since I had Granit so I can't quite remember. I thought I rembered Granit was like a watered-down Ettan or General.
I do however think this is a very original taste not found in the other snuses.
