Oh! Maybe it's them I was thinking of.
Anyway, what reaction have you had here to our habit?
Some people seem to be a little closed minded to it, others don't believe it can be satisfying and safer. Unfortunately once you tell them the beaurocrats have stopped/banned the sale of it in most of europe, they look at you as if you are using some naughty substance!
My brothers making great progress with snus though and smokes very very little now, so I have had some satisfaction helping a heavy smoker, especialy seeing as it's my little brother.
Any news your end? Sorry to go off topic, but I have only met snusers who I have shown the product to.
    Yours M

Yeah, you have two webshops which have a similar layout but different colors who specialize in Offroad.
Snusshoppen.com and snusexpress.com <-- the second one also seems to carry Skruf, Röda and General.
The first one seems to offer very cheap S&H rates if any. Dunno about the second one.

I think I have had this conversation before at some point Most of my friends have tried it and don't really say anything about it now they have got used to it. A couple of them have even started using it!

As for the people that think it is weird and insist on continually bringing it up in conversation, they can **** off. IMHO smoking is just as strange...possible stranger, just more socially exceptable.

In Norway no one blinks a eye when you use snus. Many people told me to stop smoking but the same people actually seemed happy when i'd switched to snus....infact, I think I'll have one right now

          Any reason to quit snus?

I am 38 and have been snusing since last year. After 20 years of smoking, i quit thanks to snus.
Mine quitting smoking is my greatest accomplishment, and believe me, i did things such as hike 500 miles across mountains. I am also hyper-educated (PhD, post-doc, and all that crap) and quitting smoking still feels like one the the toughest things i ever did.

Now, i wonder if there is any reason to quit snus? I use about 12-14 pouches per day, and i hate to admit it, there is a pouch of Kronan or General under my lip almost constantly. Is the increased blood pressure going to kill me, or some chemical?

Cheers. Good Bless the Swedes. And all of you.

Well first off congrats on quitting smoking! From my limited knowledge on the subject, snus doesn't really increase your overall blood pressure, only when the portion is in. Now that being said, you may be more likely to have a heart attack or something when a portion is in, but I don't think it is really enough to worry about. The only health effect I have read about snus is an increased chance of pancreatic cancer, but it has not been proven, just a hypothesis put together by people with nothing better to do with their time.
