Coffee and Snus?

One of my favorite morning activities as a smoker was the coffee and a cigarette. However, as a snusser, I am finding the combination of General and coffee to be not quite as enjoyable-flavorwise. I understand that Swedes (at least the Swedes I've known) are voracious consumers of strong coffee. I also understand that Swedes love their General. However, I do not like the combination. I'm wondering, what Coffee/Snus combinations have you found enjoyable?

Ettan or Grov. They may even be better than cigarettes :^)

Ettan and Grov both go excellently with coffee. The flavors just match it perfectly for me.

I like N&J original with my morning coffee. Thunder seems to go pretty well also.

I will just repeat what the above mentioned. Ettan for sure, it has a smoky flavor somewhat like a very dark chocolate that pairs very well with coffee. As a personal preference, I prefer Grovsnus.

EDIT: No Thunder and coffee unless you want to shit your pants. :lol:

To each their own, mate. I just like the mellow smokey flavor of Ettan with my coffee, and Grov is right up there with it. Grov Svart is pretty nice too; it's a little sweeter and has a touch of vanilla with it. Add in the extra kick and it wakes me up even after lifting and studying late the previous night.

Agreed. The lime flavor doesn't go well with coffee. My advice is to pair any traditionally-flavored snus with coffee (Ettan, Lucky Strike, Grov, N&J, etc).

Yep, straight tobacco-flavored ones are the best. They go awesome with a good Columbian.

Not weird at all. I get excited about the my first snus of the day while I get ready for bed the night before. There is nothing like it.

I liked Gotland Gul with strong black coffee. Somehow it made the Gul taste better, and the coffee as well. I actually wouldn't use that snus any other way.

Phantom and General both go well with coffee. I agree that traditional snuses tend to complement coffee.

It's 8:50am right now, and I am drinking coffee with a snus pouch of General dry mini mint in right now. It's not bad at all. I thought having a snus in would be bad with drinking anything. But I have found it OK with coffee, sodas, beer, and mixed drinks.

Coffee and Snus is very good. Ettan, General and Grov is good coffesnus :-D But generally, snus and coffee,cola, moonshine and yea all drinks is good with snus in your lip

Oh oh oh! don't you think I haven't noticed that the General goes quite well with a lot of sodas. Coke and citrus sodas both taste wonderful with General. I should also say that Nick (and Johnny) goes pretty well with General Tso's chicken from Safeway, just learned that today.
