oden is really thunder in oden clothing

So my oden 17mg cinammon and regluar loose arrived today.

I opened the cinammon, the smell was not overpowering it was subtle. I made pris with the 3ml icetool about 2 sections long. Put it in. no reall taste. after 15 mins got some taste. feeling NO BUZZ. after 1hr falvour is coming a bit. Still working though as I am not craving nicotine.

It feel just like thunder does, same weak flavour and same sublte nic delivery.


Now this is a first impression my opinion may change. Tin has been open for about 1hr and no ammonia smell like there is with Thunder.

I have not yet tried Thunder, but I am currently struggling through my first can of Oden original extra stark loose. Out of all the snus I've tried over the past few months, I have to say that it is the absolute worst tasting and most uncomfortable "cut" of them all. It has a medicinal cloying sweetness that when coupled with the overwhelming ammonia smell one really has to fight to keep from gagging.

Being a long time Copenhagen user, the cut or quality of tobacco reminds me of something like Red Seal or Cougar in that it seems very rough and irritating on the gums. It also has that similar cheap tobacco smell that is hard to describe.

I've been desparately looking for an extra stark loose besides Skruf since I've began using snus, but Oden is definitely not the answer. Hopefully the General ES loose will become available to the American market sometime soon.

I personally find Thunder to be overly flavorful, especially the loose. There are at least three major elements zapping away at my taste buds with that one. Not subtle.

hmm you must being different Thunder to the stuff I use as it almost tasteles until about 40 mins into it. Whereas General Sterk hits with its classic citrus pepperery taste almost immediately.

The first time I used a Odin ES portion I got a good buzz but I don't find them very satisfying anymore. Thunder is way better IMO. I do like the flavor of Odin ES cinnamon but the regular is the second worst strong portion I have tried, Skruf being my least favorite.

From everything i have been able to read, I have no desire to try the Odin ES. Thunder has it's place in my rotation, and from all the descriptions, the Odin is close to Thunder but then goes in the wrong taste direction for me. But the Cinnamon, I am sure, will take an equal place with Thunder in my ES rotation

I like it a bit. As other said its rough cut. I agree and it did irritate my gums a little.

i just popped in a big pris of the original oden sterk loose this has a stonger and nicer flavour than the cinammon in my opinion. mmm its nice actually. I like.

Interesting take on the flavor. I find that Oden's original has a much bolder citrus/tobacco flavor.

Thunder is much more subtle with many different flavors that creep through.

They both have a similar nicotine uptake, but the oden's seems to top me off quite a bit faster than the Thunder. Odens gets me there pretty quick and stays there if not continues to build.

Thunder, on the other hand... It ramps up slowly compared to other stark brands (general ES/Skruf), then stays at it's plateau for a very long time (even beyond removing the pris or portion).

I prefer the slower hit and more consistent nicotine. What this tells me is that the tobacco used is simply a stronger leaf doing it's job. The ones that hit like a sledge hammer just have more loose nicotine freebased out of it. This will ramp you up quick, but it's ability to sustain for long periods just can not compare with stark lines like Thunder and Oden's.

The joy of snus is it's vast variety. Something for everybody.

I am loving this little snus hobby more and more lately. With all the various new snuses, I am finding I can much better micromanage my nicotine needs throughout the day. Especially when i am home, there are different snuses for different needs. If i need a quick jolt, a steady supply, a long term supply, or something just to have in my mouth (Moacca minis)

I started my day with smallish 3ml icetool pris of odens orginal and it has kept me going all morning.

I think this will become my all day snus and use variety of portions when out at the weekends having fun.

Just lately i have had a craving to wear black lipstick and eyeliner, latex and leather and go to some goth/metal clubs. I never had this feeling until i tried Oden snus.
