I thought this could be a usable thread, that people could post about what they are using at the moment and any comments of it.

I recently aquired a mixed assortment to try through a pesonal exchange.

The 1st thing I have tried is:

Goteborgs Rape Large White Portion.

Now, the only other snus I have ever tried is the Camels, and General Dry Mini Mints, so I may compare it with that.

1st of all, is this a "flavor"? It seems just tobacco. It has a semi strong tobacco smell and flavor, and nothing else. It's not bad, I guess, for flavorless, or added flavor I mean. Just a tobacco in a tea bag pillow. I don't think I'll order these again though. It does seem to have a nicotine effect, though not over whelming. It doesn't make me sick or anything.

Been keeping it in about half an hour. Not bad, but I think I prefer some type of flavor. I didn't know what to expect at all with this.

The original Rape is pretty low-key, but I'm liking it more and more the less I smoke; taste buds are coming back to life. It comes on the strongest when moving it from one side to the other, so I generally play with a portion of that more than others.

Haven't tried Rape No. 2 yet, it's on the way...

Hi Tom, glad to see you posting. The Gotburgs was another freebie I sent along for you to try. Its definetely a variation of an original tobacco flavor. If you have been useing Camel you will find that there are few swedish snus available that has any powerfull sweet flavor. Except like Triumph, its from the usa but made in sweden, and very sweet. Happy snusing.

This is my first experience with it and it is absolutely wonderful. Great flavor even after an hour of having it in.

Would go GREAT with coffee.

I'll be ordering some more of this stuff, only I think I'll drop down to the average nic level. I don't want to become dependent on this high nic stuff because it might ruin the satisfaction of the lower nic stuff.

Me has some of that crazy new Thunder in right now. Didn't like the shape of the portions at first but now I just scrunch it up so that it stays above the teeth. Usually don't use los at work but for a lunch-time treat today methinks a pris of Phantom will be nice.

Well, I popped in another pouch of Gotesborg Rape Large White. Are these standard nico dose? I have realized I no longer get "nico-sickness", but I did sweat a little, but I was stacking boxes too. I also like to have something to drink when I snus, even water.

I'll list what I like and what I don't about this.

What I don't:
I find it has a semi-harshness, I say semi because it's not unbearable, and maybe some slight heartburn at 1st.
It doesn't seem very flavorful, apart from a straight tobacco, and a slight burn.
I got these more like a sample, so I don't know if freshness is affected.

What I do like:
Is not a big juicer. Maybe it's because it's white. if so, I think I may prefer the whites.
Flavor isn't "bad", but some slight flavor add would make it better.

So, I guess it's the dry white aspect I like, and flavor I don't.
I'll finish them up, they are "ok", but not one I'd buy.

Tomorrow I'll try another. I am maybe a 4 pouch a day snuser. Maybe 3. One in the later morning, one after lunch, and one in the early evening. I have quite a lot to sample, even losing some in a postal mishap, so what I have should last quite a while.

Ahh, my trusty old Goteborgs Rape #2.

I would say it accounts for about 75% of my snus consumption.

One thing to remember is that snuses typically have a more subtle flavor compared to Camel snus. Don't get me wrong, I dig a Camel here and there but a true snus is a different experience.

The good thing is that there are so many different types that you are bound to find one that you really like!

I personally don't really like the plain Goteborgs, but the #2 is pure heaven. If it washed my laundry, kept the house looking good and threw in an occasional hummer here and there I would consider trading my wife for it.
