I have recently gotten into something that seems to be somewhat like the "what is your favorite drink with snus?" question. I have started trying different cheeses with snus. Normally, I do not like eating anything with a portion in (and I don't really know how it would go with loose), but cheese is easy to eat during. I guess because it melts into a cream, whereas crunchy food that gets stuck on your teeth is difficult to eat correctly while snusing.
Anyway, I have been trying a few different kinds, and am finding that snus goes quite well with some cheeses. For the record, I am pretty much a General Original Portion full-time user, so that is what I was using for all my tests (except for the occasional N&J West Strong). The salty, citrusy taste just blends very well and enhances the flavor of most sharp cheeses. I am lucky to have a grocery store right down the street that has a huge isle of specialty cheeses, but even experimenting through those, one of my favorites so far is Laughing Cow Light Original Swiss. These are the small, round boxes with the miniature wedges. I put in a portion, and once I am tasting it, I just open one and eat it directly.
Extra sharp cheddar and smoked Gouda are also quite good. I am going to keep experimenting, but I wanted to see if anyone else has gotten into this wonderful pairing and has any suggestions. Thanks!
