I ordered two cans of Thunder Snus Original Portions with my last order out of curiosity. Since I've never tried any snus by V2 before, I was somewhat skeptical and excited at the same time. The odor reminds me of pure, sweet tobacco; I usually despise sweet snus, but the underlying sweetness is something unique that adds to the aroma and flavor. There is no strong trace of ammonia, which is something that bothered me with General Ekstra Sterk. The flavor has some salt but isn't overly offensive. The "smooth" description on V2's website is precise. From my first impression, Thunder will definitely be part of every order. Perhaps it will be roll worthy if I still love it after finishing the two cans? Anyway, I'm glad I ordered it. It's worth the "ekstra" price too (compared to other V2 snus).
I finally lost my (V2) virginity!

I have been ordering Swedish snus since August, 2008. So I went ~6 months without trying anything manufactured by V2. I still don't plan on trying anything from the Offroad brand. I think V2 put extra effort and cost into making Thunder snus, which is reflected on the price per can; a can costs more than General and Skruf! Hopefully V2 will release other "expensive" snus in the future.

Xobe, I have been stuck in Chicago in the airport for the past 28 hours. I was supposed to get a connecting flight to Roanoke VA for business and weather delays have grounded me. The only way I have been able to maintain my sanity is because of my lovely Phantom Blue los. One pris left and the rest of my stash has been forwarded to Roanoke.

Honestly, this "nicotine war" that seems to be going on in snus today seems kind of silly. An N&J Strong is good enough for me, and only in certain situations. Even that one sometimes makes me feel like crap after I have it in for 15 minutes or so, so I will not be going anywhere near the Thunder and definitely not Oden.

The price difference between Thunder, General and Skruf depends a lot on where you order. Some shop it is bit cheaper and other bit more expensive.
But we have now invested heavily in new machinery and development, which will bring some new existing products on the market during Q3+Q4 2009.

I do not like saying anything bad about a product when it appears that someone who works for them is on the forums, so I will try to be nice in describing what I think about Thunder.
While it has a high nicotine level, I will give them credit in that it does not feel like a punch in the face. Very mello delivery. There is almost no flavor what-so-ever though. I wouldn't turn it down if offered, because I don't actually hate it. And while the smell is not like Phantom Blue, it certainly has a smell of glass cleaner to me. Luckily that does not come through in the taste. Oh, and it packs fairly well, too.
For the price, I would have liked a stronger tobacco taste, without the ammonia smell. And hey V2, I'm a web/graphic designer....I do freelance work...contact me and lets talk about redoing that label. Seriously...what is the deal with that?
Anyway, in conclusion...if you are one that likes strong snus, I think Thunder's delivery does a lot good for it. Its just not for me though. Not enough flavor, and maybe I just have a sensitve nose. I guess I am just not a V2 guy. Which kind of sucks, cause they have a lot of interesting product.
