Questions about Los

I recently ordered the Nordrommen limited edition los and I have tried the Brandy Alexander and Dark Vannilia and they are both excellent. I have yet to experience a mud slide but I do always use a pris tool. My question is:
1.Why does my lip get that pickled feeling to it after I take out the pris? You know that wrinkley feel. Does all los do this to your lip and does it stop happening?
2. How do you guys get the pris out when your done? I've been using a finger sweep method and then swishing out the rest with water.

I got the prickling feeling once, but haven't felt it since. I'm sure I probably still get it, but am used to it. Kind of like when I started to snus, I'd feel that but adjusted soon enough.

I use the finger sweep method too. Sweep out most of the stuff, rinse with water afterward, or with Listerine and then brush if I'm about to head to bed.

Well done on getting into lös - it would be the way forward if it weren't for sociability with non-snus users!

The pickled lip feel - it's mainly the salt. Particularly salty portions will do the same for you if you leave it in for too long. It dries out the tissue in your lip while you have it in and also your lip is being stretched while you have the pris in which adds to the wrinkliness.

Getting a pris out is possible in one piece if you have looked after it and if it is a nice sticky brand like Skruf. Nordstrommen is pretty good as are all the v2 los brands - you just need to make sure you don't play with it too much and keep it to one side of the bit in the middle of your lip (don't know it's name). If you puff up your top lip with air it loosens the pris and then you can normally just tease it out with finger & thumb in one piece then it looks for all the world like a slug!

You can't use the above technique with non-sticky brands like montecristo and gotlands which are fine in the lip but break up on removal. If it breaks up - just get the pris out in installments and rinse with water if necessary.

Easiest way to get a pris out is to close your mouth, puff out your upper lip and give your head a quick shake. Pris will fall downand tou can just flick it into your hand(or trash can) with your tongue. I usually just take a sip of my drink and swallow any remaining bits after the puff extraction.

As far as the pickled feeling goes: It goes away after a while. Your lip will form it's own little "pocket" for the snus. It'll get a bit rough now and again, but you stop noticing it.

Huh, didn't know about those little tricks. That's handy. Though I only really use lös when I'm in my room so it isn't too big a deal if I need to swipe and rinse. I don't think my professors would like seeing me bake a pris or use a tool in class, and medium-fine ground stuff seems to be a pain to work with when you're trying to be quick. Guess I just gotta get used to it still.
