Apparently there has been some sort of production problem at Skruf, and Knox portions are unavailable for purchase for as long as a couple months. I really enjoy Skruf and Skruf light (Knox), its high quality and cheap...woe is me. I have e-mailed asking when we might be able to see some more Knox, we'll see if they reply. I know that there are daily Knoxers out there, and if you have been hoping to stock up on some, it doesn't look good.

Oh man, lame! Knox is my favorite portion!
Luckily I have 15 cans that don't expire until May. I've been using mostly loose lately anyway, so rationing won't be a problem, but still.

I got my first real taste of knox recently in a portion mix order from buysnus, and was about to order a few rolls, it became an instant favorite of mine...if I wasn't so hyped about just getting back from the midnight release of Watchmen, I might have a tear in my beer. Here is the e-mail that I sent and the response:
Dear Skruf,
I was just about to place an order for 3 rolls...and I was a few days too late, now I can't buy it anywhere!!!! What am I going to do without my beloved Knox!??? Is there any timeline on when it might be available again. I use Skruf a lot, and I just had my first can of Knox a couple weeks ago, and it has become a favorite of mine. Let me know.
Loyal Skruf user,
Eric Calvin

When exactly did they first become unavailable? I guess I'm very, very lucky. I ordered a roll on the Feb. 25th. It arrived a few days ago, along with my roll of Ettan loose. If I had waited much longer, I'd be kicking myself really, really hard. Knox portion is really the only portion I'll use anymore. I think the taste is fantastic, which is something I can't say about a lot of other portions. I can't believe the price is so low.

Both the portions and los are my absolute favorites; I rarely go an order without throwing Knox in there somewhere. Easily the best snus out there for the price, IMHO. Luckily, I also have a small stash of Knox portions (I always do).
I hope everything gets sorted out soon...

I'm going to take a stab in the dark.
Getsnus is owned by Swedish Match (maybe indirectly)
Getsnus just started selling Skruf
So there must be some kind of distribution agreement to introduce Skruf here in the US.
I'm guessing all Swedish Match retailers will be also be adding Skruf.
Skruf is a small company.
A major launch into the US market will limit it's production.
Knox production takes a backseat to Skruf (the flagship of Skruf).
just my take on why Knox may be in short supply.

Production problems? Sounds kind of fishy to me. Hopefully there won't be an announcement that goes along the lines of "Due to low sale volumes, Knox Portioned Snus will be discontinued". However, Justintempler could be onto something with Skruf being launched in America. I wouldn't be surprised if specialty tobacco stores start selling the Skruf brand.

If Knox gets discontinued, I'll cry. I don't know what I'll use instead. Knox has a very distinct taste and the moisture level in the portions is perfect, not too wet and not too dry.
Please, Skruf. Knox is perfection on a budget. Don't take it away from us.

I don't see Skruf doing away with Knox anytime soon. It sells too well.
As for me, I'm lucky. I ordered my roll before this mess started.

I don't see Knox being discontinued, just an interuption in normal production to accomodate an initial expansion of the Skruf brand.
Again it's just speculation on my part.
