    White Portion Burn

Has anybody that uses white portions found that sometimes the Snus burns in your mouth excessively? I've been using General Whites for a while now but the Snus in the last roll I ordered burns so much it's almost unuseable

Yes, when I started snusing, exspecially the Röda Lacket White Portions burned terribly. They burned so much, that I sometimes put them in the cheek instead of the upper lip. I don't really know, if this is a problem of the white portions in general or only a problem of the Röda Lacket Portions, but since I more and more found, that white portions only look good but don't taste as good as the original portions, I think, I will stop buying white portions anyway, from now on.

Unfortunately some brands (like Röda Lacket) are only available as white portions. I've never tried General White Portions, but General Original Portion is a good snus brand, which never gave me a 'burning sensation'.

Overall, I guess, that the fine texture of the white portion bags isn't too easy for the gums.

    Cheers!

Yeah, but only if it comes altogether with a 'nicotine sensation'!

          Cheers!

We have to be one of the only communities who think a 'burning sensation' is something positive

Sure, Snus does tend to burn a bit but this is usually a good sign that your nic buzz in on it's way I have always found white to burn more than regular portions but this particular roll of General White burns like acid

The only white portion I have tried is Rape No.2 which is great. Maybe you got a bad batch of general.

I only get the 'burning sensation' (I want a t-shirt with those words) when using portions. For some reason I just never had it with lös ... just the slow, silent release of nicotine. The best burners under my lip is N & J, Skruf and occasionally Göteborg. Never had it with the good ol' General (except for his fancy little sister named Onyx, oh yeah, baby 8) ). Also Röda, which I use from time to time.

By the way ... went to the Central Station today to buy some lös. In front of the fridge it occurred to me, that I had never tried any Offroad (even though it's danish) and decided to buy the Original variant (ca. $2.30 here). Walked home and kept fiddling with the cool black can in my pocket, excited. But. Settled at home, cozy and hungry for a good snus, I twist the lid off and stuck my big ol' sneezer up close. And what a horrible experience! Yikes! It smelled EXACTLY like the urinal cakes that floats happily in their porcelain world in every bar in the city! What gives? Still, I had to try it. And I did. With very little luck. It really made me sick and I had to spit it out after only 5 minutes. Yuck! Never ever again. Maybe I'll give the cranberry variant a try one of these days.

                    **overheard at a café**

-- yeah, it really burns the first time but you go numb pretty quickly...

--tell me about it, you always miss that burn, it's never quite the same again

I wouldn't call the flavour 'urinal cake' but it is unique and very distinct. Sort of like marmite you'll either love it or hate it.
