Adding stuff to snus

I'd consider also boiling off the alcohol/water of a thimblefull of the Scotch or Irish Whiskey in the microwave. The trick is to concentrate to flavors, and hopefully not too much of the good flavors would be lost before it became syrupy.

I've heard that this years Kardus ltd edn was a Scotch tasting los that got it right.

Kardus tasted like what I thought (hoped) Probe whiskey would taste like. If anyone comes up with a great method to make whiskey snus definitely let us know, I at least would greatly appreciate it, the flavors seem to nreally complement each other well.

You guys have got me thinking so I'm going to give it a go with a hefty Islay Malt - something with a strong flavour.

I'm going home shortly and will dip some Lucky Strike mini's in either a Laphroaig or a Lagavulin to see if the flavour holds - liquid amber smoke on toasted snus, can't wait!

I don't know that I would try it with a scotch whisky. (they spell it without the "e") but I would use a strong bourbon.

for the record, Copenhagen whiskey flavor doesn't taste like whiskey either, and it eventually just started making me feel ill.

I had a few friends that would toss Copenhagen Pouches (like 2) into a double shot, and leave it in the fridge for a day. They would soak up most of the shot. I guess the alcohol soaks through your gums just like the nicotine. I wasn't into dip at the time, but hey, they got drunk off it.

that sounds genius, actually. those pouches are about 2 grams if I remember right, so you'd get more nicotine buzz then drunk.

Would be a good way to start out, I remember when I got really drunk I'd always think a dip was a good idea and it made the room spin unpleasantly instead of pleasantly

I have not flavored any of my snus products, but I have put peppermint oil in my tins of skoal. The peppermint oil is very strong and aromatic. I also have some artificial candy flavore for hard acndy, which I might try adding to my OOMPH snus. It is very concentrated stuff from National Flavors, if you dont mind the artificial chemicals. I really enjoy Camel snus because it is like candy. I will report back with the results.

Candy flavor concentrate on snus

I tried the candy flavored concentrates on the energy snus. I tried blueberry, apple and caramal apple.

Not the greatest results as far as taste. They did smell pretty good though. :roll:

I bet Wild Turkey 101 would work great for a bourbon. Nice and strong.
