New Snuser

Hello!
First Im going to rant about my snus experience and then Im going to ask some questions, so that you wise snus people may share your wisdom.
So my first snus experience was about 6 months ago I read somewhere about snus and wanted to try some. I was lazy and simply bought 3 cans of snus at an outstanding price. I had röda lacket, ettan and skruf stark all portions. Well do be polite I didn´t care about them. I hated the röda lacket and threw it away and used the rest up. I dicided that snus was not for me and left it. I contiued to snuff.
Well last week I met a norwegian guy who has been snusing General lös snus for the past 30 years. Well he formed me a pris and I just took it in.
Man that was amazing I told him so and he was so pleased that he gave me 2 cans of General lös and one can of Göteborg Rape. So after going through 2 of those cans I figuered that I needed more :shock: .
So I placed and order at buysnus.com. Last week.
Yesterday I ran our of snus. Well thats not a nice experience.
I will hopefully tomorrow get:
5 cans General lös
1 Montecristo lös
1 Offroad Original Lös to get packtet full.
I also got a Prisemaster when I don´t want my hand dirty.

Today I realised that that order is ehm, not sufficent.
So I placed an other order with northener:
Everything except the General is for trying out.

General Onyx, White Portion - 1 pcs.
General, Loose - 10 pcs.
Gotland Yellow, Loose - 1 pcs.
Grovsnus, Loose - 1 pcs.
Kronan, Loose - 1 pcs.
Nick & Johnny East, White Portion - 1 pcs.
Nick & Johnny, Strong Portion - 1 pcs.
Pall Mall, Original Portion - 1 pcs.

As you can see I ordered some portions again, mainly because of convenience so I can snus easyer when I am not able to make myself a prise.
As for the questions:
Im going 2 week away soon and Im not sure if I can put my snus in a fridge there. So how long does lös snus stay okay? Is 4 days still okay? Because thats the earliest I might be able to put it in the fridge.
Other question:
What do I need to try? I think Ill go for Genearal as main snus, but it would be nice to throw an other can in from time to time. Also for portions, Ill use them when Im lazy, so anything out there I need to get?
And I won´t go for anything from or with röda lacket, I hate that stuff. ops:

Welcome to the forums!!

Snus will keep fine out of the fridge. You should go through your current order, and refine where your tastes are; then we can give better suggestions.

I know with portions, 4 days, 7 days not being refrigerated is fine. I will let los users comment, but I doubt you will have much issues.

As what to try, I'll make it easy on you.

EVERYTHING

Snus is so different, and each of us have our own quirky tastes, the only way you will know what you like or don't is just to try them all. It's a glorious adventure, don't feel the need to rush through it. With each succeeding order, get some favorites and get something s you haven't tried yet. It took me a good year to year and a half to finally develop a roster of about 20 different snuses I order.

Welcome. If you like General, you might want to try Granit and Phantom Classic. They both have the same flavor profile, just different versions of it. It's my personal favorite.

The OR Original is very flowery and sweet, just to forewarn you.

Also, I recommend trying something along the lines of LD Loose or Skruf to test out the rose/bergamot flavor.

If you like cranberry, OR Cranberry is awesome.

My Snus didn´t make it here today so I hope it is tomorrow. Ill post my thoughts when I get them *fingers crossed*
Thanks for the suggestions, but since I already own far to many snuffs as I can use, the idea to try everything is creepy.
Granit, Phantom Classic and the Lucky Strikes will be in my next order.
As for using portions Im not sure yet if I really want them. I sort of doubt that theyll stand a chance against the General :lol: Ill just see how well they taste and diceded then.

Any idea how long lös will last if not cooled? Might as well just use Portions when Im out of town...

4 weeks at least at room temperature and 2 or 3 months in a cellar. Just store the cans in a plastic-bag to prevent the snus from drying-out.

BTW, the refrigeration-topic is far exaggerated. Snus is still a traditional tobacco-product that has been invented long before refrigerators existed and it stays fresh very well outside of the fridge. That said, the fridge is nonetheless the best place to keep the snus fresh. I wouldn't store my snus on a sunny window-sill in the summer. That way at least the taste could get spoiled very quickly.

Actually yes, there is a moment when you realize thats enugh. At least I did, I know many people that don´t. I think it actually denpends if you are a "collector type" or not. I don´ really collect stuff, maybe thats why. I still enjoy a good pinch though.

I tried the Offroad original and well.... Its not for me
The General is as awsome as always, and the Prismaster does its job well. Its nice you can get something that usefull for such a small price.
Ill try the Montecristo this evening, I think it needs some build up

Ill see if I have to pay taxes for my northener order, If I have to I think I can´t afford snusing really. I just hope the best.
