    Question about Grovsnus

Are the portions supposed to look really dark? The can I have of the original portions are all dark from the tobacco. They taste fine and are moist but are close to the expiration date. I would post a pic but I'm at work and don't have a camera. Just really wondering if it's normal.

Completely normal, mate. All the Grov portions I've had came really dark, like it was soaked in the tobacco juices. I don't think the expiration date matters much if you keep it refrigerated. Hell, I've had my cans out for a couple weeks since I don't have a fridge and they still taste just fine. Not really close to the expiration date, but usually you don't want to leave them at room temperature that long. Haven't noticed any difference yet though.

Most portions will do that when they have been sitting unrefrigerated for a while, or are close to the exp. date; it's not a huge deal. I would gather that it's probably from the moisture seeping through the portion material.

No they were the original portions. I know what you mean though with the whites. Some of my General wintergreen portions have really dark spots on them, still good though.

Wintergreen portions seem to do that a lot for some reason. I remember when I purchased some General Wintergreen at the tobacco shop when I first started, the portions looked so much like regular portions that I thought the tin had been labeled wrong. I later found out that SM does not even make a regular portion Wintergreen.

Grov portions are sloppy, and very dark. It's completely normal.

In the factory, they typically spray the portions with flavor juices. It said so on an SM video or article.
