Some fella on the Snuscentral forum posted about how he had spoken to a rep at Pinkerton Tobacco, who stated that they are in the process of rolling out General snus for a wide distribution. Don't know anything more than that but the new General snus website looks pretty sharp.

General stuff is now available at a store about 20 miles from me, and it wasn't a week ago.

I am very happy to hear this.

I checked out the website (it had been a few days since I last visited it). Sure enough, there are now three vendors in Seattle that carry General. I will call them in the am to verify if they have it. If so, I'm going to go pick up a roll. I love General and haven't had it in a couple months. We'll see how it compares to Phantom now that I haven't had it in a while.

I remember my first order:

2 cans Skruf Stark
2 cans Roda Lacket
1 can Phantom Blue
2 cans Gotesburg Rape
3 cans General.

I loved the RL because it was easy to bake. But for flavor, the General was the best; warm, comforting, peppery. Still one of my favorites.

I too have heard tales of general being available at some specialty tobacconists. It's not like you're going to see it in the gas station yet(though let us know if you do) but it's still exciting.

I heard of a supplier in MD carrying a basic, limited selection of general, general white, extra sterk and mini mint

There was no places here in MN that you could get anything from Swedish Match and I have been emailing them for a couple of years. Now I hear about a rollout, check the new site and there are two places that now sell General products in my area.

Still nothing here in North Carolina. Closest for me is still Richmond, VA.

sage, didst thou checketh the Swedish Match website or the General website. SM site still says nothing where I live but the General site says go 5 miles this way to get some General los.

I will stick with ordering off the internet. The quick shipping and roll discount can't be beaten. As well, the single price per can at tobacco stores is over five dollars!

I'll certainly stick to ordering of the intertubes myself for the most part. It's great to know that, should I leave my snus at home, I can drive a short while and get a couple of cans though. Also nice to see that they aren't only promoting the mint and spearmint.

That'd be great if it reaches the NW! There are absolutely ZERO retailers in western WA state who carry real Swedish snus. Thanks for the update from your Fortress of Solitude James! 8)

I checked the SM store locator. This is cool. On the other hand, I always have snus. I have 4 shipments coming to me over the next week, will be back up to at least 60 cans in the freezer. At the same time, still kinda cool to go into a store and buy it. Thank you for pointing me to General's site. cary is about 6 miles from me.
