The price has always been my biggest fear in regards to domestically available Swedish snus.
The tobacco companies are publicly traded and therefore are beholden to their stock holders first. Snus users from what I have seen use less tobacco than smokers and they need to offset that with a higher price per tin in order to keep sales up.
I would guess that a can of snus (real snus) will be in the 6-7 dollar range in order to really make it worth it to sell it locally from the perspective of the tobacco companies.
Too bad though, a reasonably priced product could get a lot more people to switch which would be great for health reasons.
