If it really is like the Nordströmmen lös then definitely try it with a vanilla portion if there is one to get that creamsicle flavor. Either way it sounds like the Mandarine is a hit as well and hopefully will make the cut along with the Cloves.

It's competing against moonshine. I think the odds are in it's favor.

I'd actually like to see something like this replace the Offroad Apple and send Apple flavor back to the drawing board.

I'm going to have to sound uncreative and simply agree almost 100% with sagedil's thoughts on Mandarine! One thing I'm struck by too, is how authentic the flavor is, just like with the Mango Cream. Way to go on the new fruit flavors Patrick and Co!

I was glad to see you go first on the mango. And thanks for keeping the format the same, just think this will make it easy for Patrick.

Now it's other folks turn.

Just a follow up. Last night while I was testing moonshine, my wife , who has had one portion in her life, Camel, asked if she could try the mandarin.
I figured what the heck, I could spare 1. She placed it farther back than I like, but where it was comfortable for her, and waited. To be fair the Camel snus lasted all of 10 minutes.
After 20 minutes I asked for her thoughts. She liked it. Said it had a bit of a bite, but the mandarin taste was clear. She could also taste the tobacco. She kept the portion in for just over an hour, said it still had flavor, and only took it out so she could go to sleep. I'm going to wait and see if she asks for another one. She did look at me like I pooped on the bed when I asked if she wanted to try the moonshine.

btw my friend, I have been doing this for 2 years and I always put them further back too. It has just always been way more comfortable for me. So if she likes it that way, be happy she is using in the first place cause there really is nothing wrong with it.

My expectations for this one were quite high and I am not disappointed!

The taste is a portion version of the Nordstrommen los version. A perfect crossover if you ask me. The flavor is a soft, mellow mandarin orange. Not salty, not bitter, not sweet, not sour... It is just the perfect flavor.

This one is in my top three so far.

I LOVE Mandarin oranges. LOVE 'em!!! My first taste of Mandarin oranges was completely unnatural though. They came in a can. Already peeled. Mandarin Orange segments. Packed in water. But the water was loaded with sugar. Really sweet, combined with the juice of the real oranges, I thought it was real Mandarin juice. Hey! Come on - I was a kid what did I know? You've probably had the same stuff. It's good though. Just not real accurate in taste. Was too sweet. Real Mandarin oranges are still great, and sweet too - just not that sweet. And I still like them a lot.

This Mandarin snus (for me) starts too wet, but maybe not - I'm getting used to it. I think this is a very accurate tasting snus, not sweet - just what seems to be the natural essence of the flavor, that mellows quickly but stays gently in the background (just like the that amazingly natural tasting Lemon Dew - sage!!! ) ...and it lasts quite a while.

This is very easy to hang with. I like it.

Rankings? (is that really necessary?) I suppose so. I've a few more to comment on and possibly update but fer now that's 'bout it.

                    Rob

Happy to hear that, I really hope this one makes the cut.

                        Mandarin Review

                        Smell/Appearance
The snus smells of mandarin, not as strongly as Nordstrommen loose, but the scent is unmistakable. The portions are fat and juicy like all of the rest in this sample.

                        Flavor
When I popped the portion in, I noticed the familiar and pleasant orange flavor. Like others have stated, it tastes a lot like the Limited Edition Mandarin Loose; in fact, it's one of the closest parallels between a loose and a portion that I've experienced, which makes me happy. I detect a slight bitterness in the background of the flavor, which is not altogether unpleasant. The portion lasts a long while and feels good in my mouth.

                        Comparison
Others have mentioned OR Apple portions in this thread. Frankly, I greatly prefer the mandarin portion to OR Apple, because the flavor is superior and is a closer representation of the flavor its name suggests. The fruit flavor is stronger than what I find in OR Cranberry. For a taste comparison: In the Mandarin, the orange is dominant; whereas in the Cranberry, the cranberry and tobacco seem evenly balanced.

                        Conclusion
If you like orange flavor, you will most likely enjoy this portion snus. V2 did an excellent job with the flavor. Out of the samples I've tried so far, this is one that I believe should pass the testing.

This is another very unusual snuff.

Its about as black as can be in the can (I haven't compared it in color directly next to Dholakia Black...
