    Offroad Liquorice los review

Well I thought since I tried Offroad Liquorice los for the first time today, and I couldn't find a review, I'd review it.

The colour of the los is a very deep black. The initial scent of the snus is the giveaway - sweet natural classic liquorice smell, great!

The texture of this snus is very bouncy, fluffy, and exceptionally easy to bake and use with an icetool. When you pull the icetool out of the snus, it even has a kind of rebound effect, it's that bouncy  .

Taste: Superb, a very deep flavour of liquorice, with NO hint of artificiality. There is a potent aroma in my nose of the liquorice. Licking the pris with my tongue reveals the depth of the flavour. Very pleasant, and also pretty sweet. Funny, it reminds me a bit of LD Black, just slightly sweeter.

    9/10

:?: Why oh why is the portion version not worth the plastic the can is made of?

    I thought you'd like it :^)

It really is a great snus for anyone who likes licorice. Robust and delicious... Not an all day snus, at least for me, but it makes a great treat every so often.

Very Interesting. I am starting to think about what los to get when I make my next attempt at it. I love licorice, so I think this one will be added to the list.

          Why not? Too sweet?

I love Gotlands Anis and I've been meaning to try the Offroad. I usually alternate the Gotlands with something like Skruf or Ettan, but would be able to use it all day if I had to because of the balanced flavour.

How do the two compare? Bear in mind I don't like overly sweet anything - I don't even use RL portions...

Yea, I think I would say it's too sweet(and robustly flavored) for all day use. It's hard to explain. If you've ever chewed licorice root, you'd notice that it has a sweet taste, but it's not sweet; The Offroad is kind of like that. It's along the same line as LD Black, but the flavor's a little richer in my estimation.

Gotland Grey is a favorite of mine also, but it isn't something I can use all day either. The Gotland is more herbal, and it has the trademark bitterness of the Gotland line.

I guess the way I'd differentiate them, is the Gotland tastes like a combination of ingredients you picked yourself out of a field, and the Offroad if more like a licorice scotty, or perhaps a old time licorice cough drop (Smith Bros., Ludens... I'm not sure what you guys have over there :^D)

The price is pretty good, so I think it's worth a try for anyone who likes licorice. There really aren't too many options in the snus world, and the Offroad is tough to beat. I'd consider it the standard to which all other licorice lös is compared.

I used to love Smith Bros & Ludens. Was always getting in trouble in 5th grade cause I was always eating them. Would walk to school so I could save my bus money to buy them every day.

Makes me want to try the Offroad los even more. Lord knows the portions do NOT taste like that.

This is one of the los cans I bought after asking for suggestions for a licorice flavored snus when I was a bit disappointed by Oden's (It's a good snus just not enough anise flavor for me.) I have yet to try LD's Black but will soon hopefully. I have to say you are right on the money with your review this is my favorite Offroad I have tried thus far. I was hesitant at first because of the cheaper appearance of the can, but it turns out that it is my favorite anise snus with Gotlands Grey los at a very close second!

I think you may have a point there lxskllr. The flavour would be too overwhelming for me to use all day. It really is a liquorice explosion, a VERY strong classic liquorice taste.
