    snus rolling-papers

I've heard a little bit about some of you using teabag like materials to roll some loose into, but today I thought, maybe that could be a real product. It would work similar to cigarette rolling papers, except obviously it would be an empty snus portion that you could seal yourself with saliva, or a non-toxic gummy strip.

why? because for people like me who only use portions anyway, I could purchase a can of los which is 20 grams more tobacco, and roll a whole can up when I get it. It ought to produce about 1 1/2 times as many portions for the same cost.

The other use is for primarily loose users, who only use portions to be sneaky. They could enjoy their favorite loose snus in a more secretive way, without having to purchase portions.

Also brands that are only available in loose could be made into portions, and the complaints of "the portions just aren't the same" could possibly be calmed.

Of course what you'd be making is a white portion out of what is made to be used with no portion, so there might be some snuses it wouldn't work with, but I think it's a good idea.

another supporting reason: they could make "maxi" sized pouches, so you could enjoy los varieties in porportions closer to what your icetool makes.

another supporting reason: different shaped pouches could be made, for those who've always wanted more of a camel-like shape, it could be done.

    ok, I rest my case

Or you could just grow a set and put the loose in your mouth

But really, I have thought about this as well. I CONSTANTLY have coworkers of mine who dip having me roll them up portions out of coffee filter paper. They love the snus but can't manage it's consistency compared to their dip.

Not a bad idea, I'm sure some would like it.

Personally, I like being able to lick a nice pris for the extra flavor.

But do remember that portion tobacco is made differently from los. Open up any portion and you will see. i have no clue what they do to portion tobacco, and even how important it is. But something to consider at least.

From the brands I've cut open, portioned tobacco is cut more than loose snus. I cut open a N&J portion to find it appeared more like dip than snus. The color of it was completely black.

I've always thought about doing something like this, but I have no idea how I'd go about doing it. One time I tried opening up a portion, emptying out the contents and replacing them with loose. It tasted good, but the flavor was weaker than real portion snus.

However, every time I think about doing this I just spare myself the effort of experimentation in favor of using loose the real way. It's easy and it doesn't rasp my gums the way portions do.

I think the rolling-portion material would have to be a bit different than current snus pouches, since it's explicit purpose is to put los into it, which is a different texture. I would assume it would have to have alot of liquid-flow but be fairly strong.

This is thinking far down the road, but snus brands could appeal to the possible market by just selling los snus in bags or large tins. It's the equivalent of rolling your own cigs, with the added bonus that you wouldn't have to do it as often and... it's snus!

I'm very interested to find out more about buying the empty bags if possible.

Toque has been looking at introducing a British oral Snus for some time and we have invented a way to sell in Europe that doesn't break the European ban.

There are many people who simply use normal empty prefab-teabags from the supermarket and cut of the overhang (unless they make a monster-portion  ).

I tried it once and it sucked, but as I said, many people really like their snus that way.

                    Cheers!

In America(maybe worldwide) EZ Wider sells rolling papers that come on a small roll. You pull off the length you want, and roll with that(this is for weed smokers of course :^D). I think something like that would work very well as a snus paper. Your best bet would be to contact the primary manufacturer directly. I bet they could make something for you.

Not that I would ever be into "teabagging" but I do like to take some snus and put it into a cut in half tea bag every once in a while.

Also, some domestic snuff is pretty good that way. Peach, Berry and Apple Skoal are pretty decent upper lipped in a tea bag.

Roderick, I just found this - the makers of these machines:
                            http://www.merz-system.de/Englisch/SB-51-1-T-engl.php
                            http://www.merz-system.de/Englisch/SB-53-2-T-engl.php
certainly know where to buy the right pouch-material.

                            Cheers!

Well now there’s something to go right between the snus fridge and espresso maker.

I wonder if they make a desk top model, you know, to keep at work
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers
