It's interesting to see someone independently reporting on the mini portions.

I'm curious how many you're using a day?

I'm still a beginner, so I'm not sure how many I'll end up using. Probably 10 a day at this point. I suspect I'll be looking for stronger eventually, but even the minis can be too much if I put them too close together.

We'll see what the future brings.

...In case you're wondering, there are reasons for my focus on white mini portions. I have a full upper set of dentures. This means I have a lot less clearance to put snus. Anything larger pushes the plate out of position, and simply hurts. Anything moister than white tends to pool up under the plate and emerge at the top of the back of my throat. Not pleasant.

I have a full set of dentures. I use regular portions. I use my portions flat and not rolled up. There is nothing saying 100% of the portion must be in contact with your gums. I get plenty of flavour and plenty of nicotine.

I may simply need to get used to it. Currently, though, I have trouble finding a good place for them. I dont like them right up front, so I end up trying to tuck them over the canines. They still tend to migrate backward and get very wet. I guess I'll figure it out.

Right now, though, the minis are much more comfortable.

You Told Me So....

Okay, I've changed my mind about General snus. I didn't like the regular mini or the white mini. The regular General mini was way too juicy, and it wasn't a flavor I enjoyed. The white mini just tasted sad and mean.

Then my free sample of general white large portion arrived. I tossed it in the freezer and ignored it, since I didn't figure it was worth bothering. I was using minis exclusively anyway, since it felt pretty crowded even with the minis. I didn't figure I had room for the larger sizes next to my dentures. But I started feeling the urge to chain snus, so I figured I'd try the larger size just for the nicotine bang.

The regular General white portion is great! True, it's a bit burny on the back of my throat, but I figure I'll get used to that, the same way I got used to it with the various minis I use. It's caused by the fact that I haven't yet mastered packing the portion all the way up where the saliva doesn't flow. I figure it just takes more practice. But the taste is great.

I just wanted to tell the folks who told me that I'd eventually change my mind that they were right. I did.

This is very fortunate, since I have a free sampler coming from General that I ordered before my first Swedish order arrived. I was afraid I'd just end up tossing the samples in the freezer and ignoring them. Now I'm looking forward to the mailman again :-)

And now I can start ordering some larger portions and new flavors :-)

try folding your large portion so it looks like a hot dog bun, and carefully place it in still folded.

FWIW, I am an outlier in snus usage. for two years, I have pushed them back in my mouth. the back end is right next to my most rear molar. For me, this has just always felt more comfortable. Never really thought much about how juicy they get, it is simply what I am used to,

I have tried the more traditional way and simply never found it to be comfortable for me.

Welcome to the Forum Gitchel,I to have dentures both top and bottom.I have not had a problem with the regular portions in the front above my canines,I leave them flat the way they come out of the tin.The mini's are more comfortable but do not have enough nicotine for me.I have also ordered a couple cans of lose to try and hope that it works out ok.I am also new to snus(1 month)and am still learning.
