    Offroad Snus

oh god ewww, this stuff is gross. I got the apple and the liquorish portions to try out. The liquorish is not a joke when they call it liquorish...tastes and smells exactly like it. WHile this is not bad at all, its way to much like candy rather than a tobacco product. Now this is far better than the other offroad I received, offroad apple. Oh man, it smells like rotten milk. At least it fades to a tobacco flavor later on though. But this stuff isn't good and I wouln'd recommend spending money on it.

Offroad has always had a rocky reputation. Some strange off flavors in it. A few here like it, many don't. I hear their Los is MUCH better.

having said that, expect that to be changing. The new snus V2 is testing is 1000% better than any Offroad I have ever had. Nothing in common!!

So V2 has been putting money and energy into addressing some of these flavor issues.

All the Offroad I've tried, portion or loose, has been way, way, way too sweet for my tastes. The sweetest brand I can take is Goteborgs Rape no. 2, and I strictly have it around as a desert snus.

      To each their own.

I've not tried the loose, but the apple and cranberry portions I've tried taste more like dirt than they do anything else.

I've been snusing for about 3 weeks now. Started on portions but got my first cans of lös yesterday, including Offroad Liquorice which I really liked. So much that I chain snused it til my lip was sore. Perhaps a bit sweet but I Iike chewing on the bits which come loose.

Also enjoying Skruf stark and RL; all lös but RL turns to mud quite quickly. Also anything General and Göteborgs. So my tastes are quite varied. Next to try must be Götlands grey. :

The one Offroad product that does not taste that sweet to me is the Offroad Cranberry. It seems more subtle and is well-crafted. Their licorice is delicious, and it is sweeter than a lot of snuses. I like the sweetness sometimes, especially since they don't use sugar in their products.

Phantom Loose is very unique and tasty, in my opinion.

If you like licorice, another portion to try is LD Black.
