    General Wintergreen pouch seams spliting

I have quite a few General Wintergreen cans that I ordered from Getsnus last month
the expire date of April 23 09
They are starting to open on the end seams and just taste flat.
They have been housed the same way as all my other snus, in the freezer and freezer bagged.

    Has anyone else experienced this??

I'll have to check the exp date on mine but I have had a couple open up if I fiddle with them too much. No issues with taste though, seem as fresh as when I got them (only a couple weeks ago).

I've had that to some degree or another with Catch snus. The taste was still ok, but I had to be more careful about manipulating the portion, as it would leak in my mouth.

I've heard others before mention the portions splitting in the wg. Don't know why they seem to have that problem and I have never heard of it happening with any other general snus.

I have had it happen to me. I am going through a can of WG right now that has split ends all over the place. Doesnt bother me though because I have not had an issue with it getting out of the pouch and I mess with it just as much as normal.

I sent an email to Bob<---(right?) and let him know about the problem.
Hopefully he will do something. I have about 15 cans left

It's a common problem with Wintergreen portions.....I think it has something to do with the flavoring additive. I've had Offroad Wintergreen portions do that often as well.

And yeah, it happens more frequently as you get closer to the expiration dates.

Yep my wintergreen portions break open sometimes too. Not all of them and mostly when I am forming the portion.

I had the same problem when I tried it several months ago. I didn't like the flavor, so I just quit using it...
