    Kardus ?

Is Kardus snus on sale on a web site ?
I read that production has been stopped, but I don't manage to confirm this information. Anyone to confirm ?

By the way, which brand available is the most similar to Kardus ? Because Kardus is said to be the best taste we could hope to find.

Yes, the small plastic tins of Kardus are not longer available, the large limited edition once-a-year boxes will still continue though!

Thankfully I still have 3/4 of a roll in the freezer.

    Nothing tastes like Kardus!

          From Swedish Match press release
Kardus however entirely will not disappear from the market without being left in the form of Kardus Superior Blend, the most exclusive snus we have and probable also in the entire world. Once a year, we intend to continue to launch a very limited edition off the world's most excellent snus.
I have never seen it on buysnus but it is normally available on northener although im not sure when they release it each year. I'll be getting a couple of box's no matter what the price.

For those, who need more informations: Northerner's 2006-offer is still online: http://www.northerner.com/html/snslswm-kardus.html

The 'buy-button' doesn't work, of course.

The Kardus luxury-edition was available, just when I began snusing, which was in december 2006. Maybe it was already available at the end of november, but I'm not absolutely sure. If Swedish Match really continues to produce the luxury-edition, it certainly will be available again before christmas.

Unfortunately, I haven't tried Kardus yet, neither the plastic-tin-version, (which was discontinued, just at the time, I placed an order for it) nor the 45,- $ (which is, after taxes, about the same in €) luxury-version.

It is told to be some kind of a 'longcut natural' snus (if this isn't a contradiction in itself), only flavoured with salt and soda. It is surely a one-of-a-kind-snus, but I'm not sure, if 100g are really worth 45,- €. After reading some threads in several forums, I guess, maybe 20% of those, who tried it, really found a new favorite. The other 80% were either no fans of a natural tobacco flavor or continued to prefer traditional brands like Ettan. What's interesting is, that I never read a post of someone, who found Kardus to be disgusting, the worst comment was, that it hadn't enough flavor. So I guess, it is good stuff, without a doubt.

Anyway, I'm not sure, if I will try it, in case it becomes available again. Maybe the money is better invested in a roll of another brand.

            Cheers!
