    Salty snus

Anyone have reccommendations for low salt or non salty snus?

So far from the several brands I have tried, the salt content is overwhelming. Instead of any flavor of tobacco or any additives, all I get is salt which I find I don't enjoy.

    Thanks

    Welcome to the board.
Most of us had this same complaint at first. You do get used to it and actually stop noticing. Salt is the catalyst that allows the nicotine to move into your body.

V2 seems to me to be the company that consistently has the lowest salt taste.

Ettan has 2% salt which is about as low as it goes and also a popular snus.

The salt taste will go away after your taste buds adapt. It happens to all new snus users. Retry the same snus you're using in a week or two.

I think goteburgs and roda are fairly low in saline content as well.

I haven't tried Skruf stark portion but I have tried Ettan and agree that it does have the least compared to the ones I have tried.

Isn't the amount of salt something to be concerned about? It seems like such a high dosage!

I like a salty taste. But I didn't notice any salty flavor when I had Skruf Stark.

Damn it's been a while since I've been around here.

                skeletor, first, welcome to Snuson.

Before you make ANY decisions on flavors and salt issue, you simply must wait between 2 weeks and a month. Most all Swedish snus will taste really salty at first, but your body quickly gets acclimated to the salt and soon, you won't taste it.

I promise, a month most, you will not even notice the salt and will finally be able to taste the snus as it should be.

When I first started snus, it was with General. That actually hits with a strong pepper flavor (Gotta admit I didn't really find it all that appealing) but as it went on you get the citrus then salty-ness.

I'm back on General currently because I am unable to order anything as I am in the process of switching credit cards and addresses. I miss that wonderful Skruf taste. I have even thought about putting rose oil in my General...
