    du MAURIER

Thanks to a friend of mine I have been able to sample some Canadian snus.

It's pretty good. On the sweet side. Portions are a bit small. Can is great. Nic hit is mild.

Tastes similar to Triumph, less sweet, smaller portion.

If anyone gets a chance to pick some up, DO IT.

Thumbs down to dumaurier snus, overpriced, small, tasteless, waste of time.

It was about 6-7$ for one tin of 20 mini portions here, in canada. Knox comes fresh, delivered to me for under 3$ a can.

Not at all a DuMaurier fan but I use them as miniportions for work sometimes. DuMaurier seems committed to the market here despite miserable sales numbers.

        As a last resort

I agree with Darkwig, DuMaurier is committed as hell. They're sales numbers suck here in Ottawa. I use it as a last resort if I can't get my General Extra Sterk or Skruf White or Onyx or Frosted Thunder. The difference is like night and day when it comes to portion size, quality, price and everything else. Nic hit is just enough to keep the jonesing from setting in but lacks true satisfaction that can be obtained through it's Swedish counterparts. But I have to say on more than one occasion I've had to fall back on the DuMaurier pouches to get me through till my next order arrived. On a positive note in regards to DuMaurier, Canada is notorious for it's sky high tobacco taxes thus the reason the the black market for cigarettes here is HUGE i.e. "Natives" that can be purchased for around fifteen dollars a carton. I'm from the US currently residing in Ottawa so for all those in the US it's a sad situation here where most American dip is hugely overpriced and nearly double the price for half the amount. A pack of cigarettes here will cost you an upwards of close to ten dollars with some brands being higher and some a tad less. Health Canada regulates the products as well which the FDA does not as of yet in the US. People are spending a fortune more so hear to keep up there smoking habits than anywhere else in the world. It's nice to know a healthier much more satisfying alternative is available. I revel in the fact that I have stumbled upon such a great and satisfying product. And I am extremely grateful for the knowledge and advice I have received from my counterparts here on SnusOn.com So with that, It's time to try my first "Onyx" pouch. Man am in for a treat!
