Tom!
Just thought I'd give u some love about your product and tell how it works as a vacationsaver! So I'm on day ten of hawaii and I'm out of strawberry, peach (go great with maitais and pinas btw) and I'm diggin the mints as well.. Only prob is little brother digs it too! Anyways just had to thank u for savin my trip!
I hate to say it, but I just spit out the worst snus I ever had. Discreet Full Flavor. This was actually way worse than US Camel, worse than Klondike Cherry Sucrets, and worse than the other Discreet flavors. I double barrelled them, and kept them in over a half an hour. It's like, what is this flavor, it has some sweetness in it, but it's nasty, and now I have this nasty taste in my mouth, I have got to get a soda. I'm actually feeling ill. Why oh why won't an American company get a can of General, open it up, examine it, taste it, do reverse engineering, and make a tasty non-candy real snus? I think if they would/could, we'd be all over it. Best thing I have found so far as an "American" snus is Tourney, but it's far from perfect, but it does not have this sickly sweet stuff, I don't even know how to explain it, but it's on my teeth now and tastes really bad. Please, Discreet, make a proper sized "Swedish Style" snus portion, that is comparable in taste to General, Ettan, or Grov. Pack them at least 20 portions to a pack, make them a gram each, charge $3-3.50, I will buy.
Tom502- I put that sample in there for you to try, sorry for the negative experience, not my intention! Sorry.
I had a long telephone conversation with Tom of discreet snus, I learned that the nicotine level is 7.2mg, and it does not seem that strong, so I suspect lower ph. I would hope that he would add a unsweetened natural tobacco flavor to the line, but the focus does seem to be a Camel frost killer. Shame, because a cat turd is a camel frost killer IMHO.
I thought I was crazy that I remembered someone saying they were 7mg of nic. I was excited because I want a mini that gives the same kick as a regular. It must be a ph thing because I didn't really feel anything.
Whalen, oh, I am VERY glad you did include it, as that was the one I had not tried, and was curious about it. The "taste" kinda sorta reminded me of Klondike Straight, but with a heavy portion material taste. They will get used though, as a buddy of mine wants to try them next.
My 2 cents(1 cent after inflation and tobacco taxes). I sent Discreet and email just inquiring where I could get some locally and was quite surprised to find my mailbox stuffed with samples too. So far, I find them to be substantially different then anything I've tried from my multiple samples orders from every online vendor I could find. I like to dive in head first. Different, not bad...and I keep them in the laptop bag for a shift from the usual. I have to give Kudos to them for the excellent customer service and the fact they have the cojones (don't know the swedish word for balls) to jump into snus. I can now find them locally at our local Smokers Friendly store and in my opinion..the more awareness of snus, the better we will all be in the end.
I do however have to agree with Tom on the unflavored stuff....didn't sit quite right for me either.
these are coming to grow on me, it's turning into my little routine to pop one or 2 in when i'm unwinding before falling asleep. love the peach. i'm surprised they have 7mg of vitamin nic though, i don't get much of a punch off 'em. i thought it was a lot less.
I'm glad some people like them, and I wish the company well. It just kinda irks me how no American comany will even try to replicate a real Swedish style snus, esp with what I see here, so many people finding Camel or other candy snus, and then finding real snus, and not turning back.
I haven't used any of my open discreet for a few days now. I think I overdid it, as they were one of two mini brands I had to use at work until yesterday. Now I'm kind of craving a peach one again. They're a good once in a while snus.
I would think a big American company would see there is a market for real snus, and notice many Americans buy and use it, and more would if it was more known of. I'd like to see a company with the money, like Marlboro, not compete with Camel candy, but to make a real bold flavor Swedish Style snus, marketed to their red brand users. They would even have the money to pack the portions 1g and seal them in a foil bag before putting them in a round can. Discontinue their crap snus, and make a hefty macho MARLBORO SNUS Swedish Style moist portions. I'll send them an email.

I hate to say it too. Tom has been very generous with samples, and has really done well blending the flavors. Reminded me of how Toque gets their flavors right on.
The Discreet Full flavor wasn't included in the generous samples I received. I ordered a pack of it from Getsnus. I was very excited to get the package.
The excitement lasted all of about five minutes. The "Full Flavor" tasted strangely foul. It really was one of the weirdest unpleasant experiences I've had with snus. -It tastesd to me like a slightly sweet, damp, used cigarette butt.
I'm shocked this flavor is so "wrong" after tasting the other flavors.
I am not a fan of most flavored snus. I believe that Discreet has a good product, and will fill a void in America with their snus.
The packaging is brilliant.
I hope they expand their selection and drop the Full Flavor before too many people are traumatized by it before having a chance to enjoy the other ones.
