So I finally found and went to the tobacco store down the road from my work that carries general. I picked up two cans of loose, which I am really enjoying btw. Being that the only other loose I had tried was nodstromens, I was a bit surprised to see how wet and muddy the general is, but man does it bake nice and hold together well.

Anyways, the point of this topic was to share the most amazing thing about it. Let me put this on its own line so that you all can't miss it-

IT WAS $2.99 PER CAN.

Thats amazing. Where are you located? Here in NYC, general portions and los go for about $7 or more. I just stick with online orders.

Also...am I the only one who doesn't think general bakes well?? I love the stuff (probably my favorite snus), but it always falls apart on me. Maybe I got a bad tin or something. I have some phantom classic los, and that stuff bakes amazingly! It always holds together.

Akron Ohio. But yeah I was expecting about 5-6 dollars a can. That one threw me for a loop.

That price is tough to beat for a local buy. Is it an introductory special, or is that what they're charging in the foreseeable future?

I didn't even think to ask him, but do plan to next time I am there (I think I was too shocked to think of it). It is hard for me to imagine it staying that price.

It's the same here in Indiana ... there is only one store with General in the state up in Hobart, IN (Golden Leaf Tobacco) and they are selling it for $3 a can ... Nice place too.

i just picked up 3 cans of general from Jo Vann's Tobacco in Cleveland, OH and it was $3.95... not too bad i guess considering its the ONLY place around thats got it

I got my first order from Jo Vann's too. The clerk I spoke with didn't really know anything about snus. I passed along the basics that I know. I asked him if he refrigerated it.

He said no, he just got it, but the refrigerator was in the back just not set up.

The "best by" dates were really close too, 4/23 or so and I bought them on 4/1.

The snus was fine though.

Just wanted to let you know, if you're ever desperate, that tins of General go for 5.50 at Shisha International on West 4th just west of 6th avenue, and around the same price at Barclay Rex. A little better than $7+!

I just bought my first cans of non-camel Snus and they went for $4.75 per can. Cost me just over $20 for 4 cans. It's not terrible, something I could deal with in a pinch, but online prices are so much better. It actually cost me almost the same for a pack of cigarettes. The prices in southern Illinois suck.
