General Ekstra Sterk Los (Review)

This is the big brother of General Los. The tobacco flavor definitely takes the front seat while the citrus flavor is more subdued. However, GES Los is superb. The tobacco flavor is not over-powering or offensive like the portioned variety. In matter of fact, the tobacco flavor gives this variant a nice zesty kick compared to the original General Los. It smells like General Los with more hints of tobacco and bitterness, but this can be expected for a snus that has 13mg of nicotine per gram.

The main advantage of GES Los is the luxury of making smaller pris sizes (about 0.5 grams) while still getting a normal hit of nicotine. This is great for situations where you don't want your lip to bulge. If you're like me, packing a normal sized pris (1.5-2.0 grams) of this stuff will immediately kill any urge to smoke while inebriated from alcohol.

Other loose "Ekstra Strong" snus may have higher levels of nicotine per gram, but GES Los has a very high pH level (just sniff it!), which means you'll be in for a rough f**kin' ride!

General Ekstra Sterk Los is what I have been waiting for. The flavor is superb, the nicotine hit is fast and consistent, and the snus is very easy to bake.

I'd love to give this a try! Great review on it. Is it really strong though? I don't wanna get knocked out.

I love general los, probably my favorite snus. The smell is heavenly. The ES sounds really good, just hope its not too strong!

It probably has the same pH level as General Los, except it has a significantly higher level of nicotine. I would just bake a smaller pris to compensate for the higher nicotine. This is perfect because you can save alot of money by using less snus while getting the same amount of nicotine.

For example, a 1 gram pris of General Los has 8mg of nicotine. If you do the conversions, a 0.6 gram pris of General Ekstra Sterk Los has the same amount of nicotine (8mg).

It burns!

Definitely does not taste as good as the GES portions, to my mind. A bit less sweet and cake-like. But I do like it. Good, immediate burn and definitely a nice nic hit. I'm still figuring out if I want to go with lös or portion snus, so the GES lös was close but no cigar to the portions. Anybody else notice that...?

I'm almost to the bottom of my can and that saddens me. This is a great snus that will be included in many orders to come. Solid tobacco tast with a hint of citrus, nice nicotine pickup. :wink:

I'm excited to get a few cans of this in my next order. Regular general los has been my main los since I started snusing. Many whims have come and gone but I always go back to general for my los. I'm stoked to try ES. It could become my main morning snus. Now I wish SM would release a sterk grov los. Grov is IMO the perfect coffee snus, just a little more kick would be nice for those especially groggy mornings.
