I absolutely love Skruf Stark los. Give Knox a try. It's cheaper, noticed it doesn't have as much of a kick to it and in my opinion tastes pretty much the same.

Right now I have Skruf Stark portion in my mouth. I like nicotine kick but taste is weak and too salty. I should try Skruf Tranbar.

Why wont they sell Skruf Original Los on the internet???

Ive seen it dozens of times in pics and other things but no outlet to buy it.

I would be willing to give skruf another shot if its was available in a reg los.

I've come around to the stark lös but I would like to have the option of a regular strength version.

I don't know if is is actually sold outside of the Norwegian market (where a friend picked up a can for me) and Skruf never responded to my email requesting more information about the regular lös.

I had hoped Knox would fill the gap but I found it to lack that distinct Skruf lös flavour that I enjoy so much.

Skruf Original portions are a strange one for me. Along with Gotland Gul it is probably the portion I use most but I do sometimes wish the flavour wasn't as muted. And then other times the portions just deliver the best taste ever. Love the flavour though as it is the perfect balance between tobacco and bergamot that deviates enough from the General type of flavour profile to not be another copy.

            Skruf Original Lös...

I found a Norwegian chatboard where they were bitching that they couldn't buy the stark and only original lös was available. I guessing original lös was only made for Norway.

They said it was because the stark had too much nicotine, so it couldn't be sold in Norway. That might be utter BS, just passing it along.

I'd agree with you that they are talking BS. As far as I know the GES portion and lös / General Sterk were all developed for the Norwegian market.

From the GES lös press release

The increase in sales of previously launched products with high nicotine content also clearly indicates considerable demand for this type of product in the Norwegian market.
I am taking a trip to Norway this summer and if I can find the regular lös I am bringing back a roll.

Skruf totally hooked me on snus. I went looking for a high nicotine portion, since i was a heavy smoker at the time. AT first i was amazed at this product (strong skruf), heavy nic, and apparently alot healthier than snus.
Over time i've noticed qualities in it, that aren't excellent, but it's acceptable. Skruf juices fast, yes, but you can just toss it and load another? I love the taste as it first starts to juice, then a few minutes later it just irritates my throat, time to toss.

Stuck with the strong skruf, it's still my go to strong portion, along with general white.

Does anyone notice with the Skruf Cranberry or any other type that they get a bit of a tickling/grimy sensation in their throat when they swallow?

Additionally, mine seems to be quite dry and takes a while for the nic/flavor to get going.

I must say that I have really developed a liking for Skruf Stark portions; I am gradually entering the world of sterks after much resistance.

That being said, I am also patiently awaiting the return of Knox portions.....where are you, my old friend?

                      Seriously.

Come on, Skruf. Bring 'em back!

That's what's strange. The loose is still apparently being produced while the portions aren't. I would expect it to be the other way around.

If for some reason the portions never come back, I hope the loose sticks around. The flavor is great and the grind is coarse, which I love. And you just can't beat that price.

Yeah that does sound like BS, i can't remember where it was (may have been SnusCentral come to think of it) But i remember reading that a lot of the starks are made with the Norwegians in mind and marketed there as they consume more higher nicotine snus's than the swedes. Maybe it was the other way around ?

                            Cheers Lee.

P.S I just realised i typed Snus's lol what actually is the plural of Snus? or is it just Snus?

I have been a firm Skruf Stark-aholic for over a year now although I am partaking in some Gotlands from time to time these days.

I'd forgotten all about my old friend Knox. Hope that comes back soon. Used to love that stuff.

I've never been a big Skruf fan, and I'd all but given up on their products. I thought they were /ok/, but there was too many others I liked better. I recently got a tin of the stark lös in a trade, and it's really been growing on me. I like it more each time I use it. It's kind of a once or twice per day snus for me, like LD Black. It's just a little too rich to be an all-dayer, but I really enjoy those couple of times. It's truly unique, and the closest to natural tobacco that I've found.
