    American General Los

I have tried both Swedish and American General Los. I believe the varieties are slightly different from each other. The Swedish variety has a sharper smell and a coarser grind, while the American version has a subtle odor and an ultra fine grind, similar to Roda Lacket Los. As well, the American version is very moist. In fact, the pris will sometimes melt away at a rather rapid rate (30 minutes).

Perhaps the shipping time from Sweden to the USA affects snus. Most orders from Sweden take ~10 days. When I order from America, the order is usually ~5 days. The moisture may become lowered due to the long shipping process from Europe to North America.

So, my question is, have you noticed any differences between the Swedish and American General Los varieties? Maybe I'm just crazy... or I could be right.

    Let me know!

I don't really use General, but I'd fully expect them to be different. When Guinness started brewing in Canada, I noticed a change for the worse. It was a completely different product from the Irish made version.

I imagine it's just for the North American market, and last I saw it was just the bottled Extra Stout. The draft bottles and cans were still Irish, but I haven't bought it in awhile, so that may have changed.

I noticed the grind but couldn't taste a flavor difference.

I have pretty bad allergies right now so that's probably why I don't notice the flavor/odor as much. I still prefer the Swedish variety because it holds together better.
