Is Gotlandssnus supposed to have a seal?

Quick question: Is Gotlandssnus supposed to have a seal?

Got an order in today from Northener. I snagged a can of Gotland Yellow portion, based on all the great comments posted on this site. The top popped right off - there was no seal to break. I've been snusing a while now, tried many of the brands, but this is the first snus I've come across that was not sealed in some way. Is this normal? Or do I need to alert the authorities?

Nope. They're all just snap on lids. The Jakobsson's snus they make has a paper seal on it, but not the Gotland branded snus.

Thanks lxskllr. I guess I can cancel my call to the paramedics. Just so used to everything in the US being sealed, shrinkwrapped, stamped, glued, tied, wrapped, etc...

not the first to ask that as I asked that myself once.

Someone from sweden on here once said that in sweden you could leave your bike unchained outside a store for days and no one would even mess with it.

Guess they are very trusting overthere which is nice to see as most of the world has gone to sh*t.

I was once on a train from Stockholm to Götenburg when a guy across the aisle from me stood up, took cash out of his wallet, dropped his wallet on the seat and went off to the dining cart. And of course it was still there when he came back....

Another time my friend who's been living there for years lost his wallet. After a couple of days a policeman knocked on his door and handed him his wallet and said someone had dropped it off at the station. It still had all the cash and credit cards in.

          You have to love Sweden

I wondered about the Gotlands not being sealed.

Sounds like Sweden would be a great place to live apart from the obvious of Snus being so easy to get your hands on

If Sweden legalizes/decriminalizes pot, I'm there. Sounds like a nice place to live. How's the cost of living in relation to other major European countries?

Gotlandssnus scared me at first. I thought for sure that the postal service/customs had opened all of my cans. That is, until I opened one and saw how fresh the contents were.

As far as plastic cans go, Gotlands' are the best. The seal is tight and the contents stay fresh for a good long while, paper seal or not.

My sister dropped her wallet from her back outside a cab here in midtown NYC. She got a call later that day, from her credit card company saying someone added massive charges on her account. Needless to say she never got her wallet back.

Got to love New York.

It's pretty expensive but nowhere near as expensive as London. The salaries are quite good as well. I think average starting salaries are in the $2000-$3000 per month bracket which is comparable to London where the average salary is about $35,000 per annum.

This is the latest cost of living ranking

The high taxes are a drag but top notch free medical care and education make up for that IMHO.

If I remember correctly pot was LEGAL in Sweden until they joined the UN in which case they were forced to change their stance on pot.

I believe I read this in a high times mag a few years back.

Like i said this may be bad info but i believe its correct.

At first I thought you guys were discussing whether or not pot was legal in Sweden, and I kinda figured it wasn't since all the Americans who want to take that Special Trip go to Amsterdam instead of Stockholm.

Yes, as fresh as you could hope for. The lid snaps on and off much like a plastic film cannister. Also, as I had read on this forum, the portions were almost as dry as white portions, but the pouch material is so soft, you don't notice. A really well done snus.

There is no seal but isn't the paper wrapper on the side connected to the top and bottom and you have to break it with your thumbnail?IE like General and the others?

Not on the Gotland branded snus. It looks just like this when you get it...

The Jakobsson's has the paper seal that joins the top and bottom of the tin like other brands have.
