Elmos, I'm with you on using more than one alternative to kill the cigarette addiction. I quit with snus, then added a pipe I hadn't smoked since college. Now do four pipes a day. Also found nasal snuff, which is only an occasional treat. Then added an electronic cigarette -- if you don't know what it is, forget it because the FDA is poised to ban it any day now.
The point is to use whatever you want at any given moment to quash that urge for a cigarette. Variety helps keep interest in quitting. Congratulations in moving in the right direction.
I did cigarettes for 50 years, BTW. About 30 a day. Quit 'em July 17, 2007.
