hot cold hot cold hot cold...is it bad for snus?

So a tin of snus portions lasts me about 3 days, its in the fridge at home and in my pocket during the day....is the changing temperatures bad for it?

not if it only lasts you three days.

condensation may occur with the temp changes, no big deal if you are going through your snus.

I keep whatever can I'm using out of the fridge.

Yeak no problems if you are using t up.

My first year using, I used to put my timns back in the refrigerator, but just stopped doing that about a year ago. Honestly, if you are gong through the tn, even a week is completely fine.

The only snus that lives in the refrigerator is stuff I take a month or more to finish.

I suspect most people slowly transition from being religious about constant fridge storage to carrying a can for a few days.

I used to worry about having a can out for more than a few hours, and would even pop my can in the back room fridge at work in between snuses. Now, I leave it in my side pocket after I get dressed in the morning, and if I find it still there when I wake up in the morning, it's no big deal...

I've oddly gotten to appreciate room temperature snus (used to really dislike it), but nothing beats the feeling a fresh portion thawing in your lip...

For me, once a tin is opened, it stays unrefrigerated until it is done. The only time it gets put in the fridge is at work, due to the fact that it is hot as hell in there most of the time during the summer (warehouse), and there is a full size fridge 10 feet away from my workstation.

Honestly though, snus tastes better chilled, anyway...

I throw mine in the fridge when I get home, but havent noticed any bad effects. The cans are not lasting long either so I dunno. The regular portions sorta dry up a little and puff up, but that probably happens if I just left em out too. Taste is fine.

If I know I'll be home for several hours I'll put whatever's in my pocket in the fridge. Otherwise, snus is in my pocket till it's finished. I've gone 2/3 white portion though, so perhaps it has less effect

I have had tins out of the fridge for over a week, and it dried out a little, but it was still okay in my opinion.

I'd love to here someones opinion from Sweden about this. Somewhere where Snus is second nature.
I'll bet they treat it like we would a pack of cigarettes. Buy it, stick it in there pocket, and not a second thought to how it is kept.

down in the south, with dip, cigs, etc, nobody does anything like that - refrigeration, etc. (not talking about snus)

but, when i visit family in california, it's very common to see cigs, snus, and dip always frozen in the fridge.

it's interesting how different people do different things.

I live in the "dirty south" (Panama City, Florida) and I do see a fair number of people put cartons of cigarettes and rolls of Skoal/Cope in the freezer, mostly because it is so damn hot here.

I have noticed younger people (18-25) hardly purchase cartons (my friends that smoke/dip). I always try to encourage them to save money but they insist upon buying individual cans/packs, once in a while the occasional BOGO.

You´re quite right. Once i buy my snus it stays in my pocket untill it´s empty. Never even thought about putting it in the fridge. I´ve never heard of anyone here in Sweden that keeps an open dosa in the fridge.

Thank you. I really thought that's the way it was.
Sometime I think 'we Americans' over complicate a $3. tin of tobacco.

After a year of using snus, I started to do the exact same thing. Snus I am using is no different than a pack of smokes used to be.
