How do I use an Icetool? If you need instructions for that I bet you also need help tying your shoes.

Do you think I will like product X? Who knows. Spring the $3. for a can and try it.

Who has the best prices? The place that charges you less.

I see you have been paying attention!
you nailed it bud. easily one of the top ten posts. Congratulations
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

That's F'n hilarious, and every single one of those thoughts has popped into my head on occasion :^D

I'm not sure why I hang out here tbh. This is the only non tech forum I really belong to. I guess I started to gain information on snus, and to keep my enthusiasm up, and stayed because I liked the people :^)

ddandb: I have been here 9 months longer than you and we have the same number of posts... which means nothing at all other than there is something you either still, or at one time did, like about the forum and posting on it. I can't imagine posting on or visiting this site for goddamn eternity, so maybe it's time to say adios for a while. Almost all of us will at some point, and looking back at old-ass posts, the majority of snuson members disappeared. Don't get me wrong, I am not at all encouraging you to leave, just saying maybe a break would do you good until you feel compelled to check in. And like you were saying with your examples of some of the site's content, just ignore those threads like most of us. There will always be those who love to help new users and jump at each opportunity to make this place informative. Yeah, most of us don't need a reminder on these issues, but can't they be easily ignored? I don't know, especially with all of the new brands and negative changes coming our way in the USA, and other topics upon which we never agree, I still find it informative and compelling, even though I don't need a bunch of advice on using snus. Just my thoughts. Not trying to get after you in any way, hope you didn't take it that way.

          Why a site?

I find people who smoke cigars and pipes and use snus (not snuff and I don't mean nasal) are most of the time quite unique. They are free thinkers. They have decided to follow something that is not looked upon as friendly or the proper thing to do. But I have found something else. Most of these people are really nice and helpful. This type of site is a great help to newbies as well as oldsters. Yes are tastes differ. We get opinions. Those can be quite helpful. If someone says xyz snus is loaded with blah blah taste, I don't buy it. I just saved a bundle. Sometimes the question are quite repetitive. So what. Learning is a process. Thank God for this site and the pipe sites. I learned a lot and made some great friends. I love pipes and snus. Snus I believe in a weird way saved my life.
Now I hope in a small way I can give back. It's good karma.

If it wasn't for this forum I doubt I'd ever have tried loose snus. I'd still be ordering three rolls of General White every few months.

However I doubt this forum could not exist, if it didn't someone would create it. I suppose that's what happened.

Yup, but it isn't as bad as I expected. I don't think it even makes my top 5 worst :^D

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm always trying to maximize my experience with everything. I regular visit bevnet.com(soft drink industry info and reviews) and drunkard.com(modern drunkard magazine, so good), along with this site.

I'm just not the type to pick my routine and stick with it, so these forums/info sources have turned me on to lots of different drinks both alcoholic and non, and lots of different snuses and other nicotine delivery methods.

It's kind of upsetting when I think about how my time not drinking or snusing is spent reading about drinking and snusing, but I also like it, so what the hell?

I forgot what we were talking about

I agree. It had promise for the first 10 seconds or so, but that nasty back taste it has, yuk... :^(

I’ve thought about this thread some and just wanted to give a more reflective response.

First, I want to thank all the old timers who stick around, answer questions, and welcome new folks. I think that does so much to set the demeanor of this site and to make it what it is. Thanks guys. I have tried in some small way to follow in your example.

Second, as to why we keep coming back: I think there are those who love snus, are glad they found it and come seeking help and direction. In time they move on. Then there are others who like my self fall into the ambassadors of snus category. Now I don’t mean that I’m an expert or have half the information that many of our venerated posters have. What I mean is that ambassadors are those who realize that snus saved them (some from cigs and some like me from American dip which was tearing me up and o so chemically laden). The joy and thankfulness for a safer way to enjoy tobacco, a way, that before we found snus we had no idea existed, makes us want to share it with everyone we meet who is still trapped in the bad lands.

It is that thankfulness that makes snus both a mission and something that we remain excited about. Add to that the great folks here, the good information, and the sometimes ridiculously funny posts and it all makes it worth coming back to.

And yes, sometimes I do check in out of mild obligation so that others do not have to carry the load themselves. But I’m never sorry I did. Sometimes I’m busy and thus can’t post as much as I would like. But this site for me is a good way to unwind, share a laugh, spread the love of snus, and it sure gives a good break from all the depressing crap going on in the wide world around us.

And that to me is not silly at all.
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Hopefully you're not referring to me. I've never said Snus was silly or posting here was silly or even said the word silly. (personally I think silly is a silly word and only silly people use it.)

I never said it was silly.
I asked, "Are we just taking Snus to seriously".
