I like mellow camel snus? what?

Ok. So I used a free camel snus coupon and picked up my can. I chose the mellow. Very nice smell, almost like a pipe tobacco smell. It's a really weak taste and a little too sweet, but man. I love this taste if it. If this particular taste/smell would be harnessed the right way it would be a kick ass snus. I did throw in a can of camel swedish snus in with my recent northerner order, I wonder what that'll taste like. Out of curiousity what is this weird camel mellow smell and taste. Could it be some kind of quality tobacco? Probably not.

American Camel Snus contains artificial sweeteners to offset the natural bitter taste of tobacco. Camel Mellow is tolerable, but it doesn't deliver enough nicotine for me. I wish RJR lowered the level of sweeteners; it would be a decent snus otherwise.

Camel mellow tastes kinda like crappy iced tea with rotten lemon to me and maybe thrown around in fluid dripping out of a car. Its too sweet. I nearly threw up after my first portion.

American Snus is kinda frowned upon.

I still like the way Mellow tastes; I was disappointed to discover that the Swedish-made Camel version tastes absolutely nothing like it. If they would just leave out that disgusting sweetness, they would have a winner, IMHO. :?

after the the other poster said it tasted like iced tea it hit me that is the taste like sweet tea
i have a pile of free cans and i sometimes crave that sweetness but roda lacket and general are my standbys...catch eucalyptus is good too

If they followed all your advice and made it less sweet and have more nicotine there'd be people on here saying they which it more sweet and didn't have so much kick.

The bare truth is US camel is an acceptable snus, worse than some swedish and better than some swedish. e

I haven't received my 1st order yet of new varieties to try, and only have Camel Mellow, Frost and 1 sample can of General white portion.
I found I really don't like straight Mellow (too sweet) or straight Frost (too mint) or straight General (tobacco only) so, what I've tried is:
a white and mellow together (mornings)
a white and frost (later in the day)
decent kick and tastes great to me...
Hoping I can find a Brand / flavor similar to this combo - any suggestions?

You're already on your way with the order of your tryout box from Northerner. New snusers tend to like the sweeter, minty and flavored snuses. It's hard to recommend something to a new snuser, your tastes will change. Something you like now you might hate a month from now.
