I found one that made me sick

Has anyone had this happen, when I tried the Oden's classic extra strong it made my stomach turn upside down, it was awful. The flavor was there but ugh. I don't think it was the nic hit because i've had the skruf strong, general es, and thunder es. They didn't make me feel sick, was just curious if you guys had ever had one that made you sick

I wouldn't mess with odens. 17mg of nicotine is just way to much for me. Normal potions at 8 are perfect, and strong at 11 and 12mg, are just for me every now and then.

It was just too much nicotine for you! Too much always makes me feel sick, just like you said. Skruf Sterk did this to me (dizzy, nausea, etc), but every now and then it doesn't hit too hard (like after dinner) and is what I need.

Away from nicotine though, Goteburg Rape' #2, makes me feel sick. I like the original but #2, makes me sick to the stomach. That pine scent is disgusting.

I've had some stomach aches recently as well, not sure if snus or nicotine. At first I thought it was just some bad food and snus made it worse.

The main reason I didn't think it was the nicotine was because I had the thunder too, I believe it has the same or 1mg less than the oden's and it didn't phase me. I might have grabbed a larger pinch than I thought, but when I used the prismaster, I got the same sized pris from both and the oden's made me sick then. I literally went from fine to doubled over the toilet in 5 minutes.

Heh...I wrote a small review on Odens a while back. Not only did it get me a little upset stomach, but gave me a headache within 5 minutes every time I tried it. I tried the Cinnamon flavor, and I'll never try it again. I gave it a shot, but just too much for me, and I only use sterk/stark snus. Plus I could not get it to pack well in the prismaster. Odens fell apart really quick. Sure smelled good though.

Good to know. I was thinking about throwing in some Odens with my next order, but the Claq Qui, Nick & Johnny, and General Sterk should probably be enough.

Oden's ES Kanel gives me the shits....BADLY, but I dig the taste. So, I just use it once a week to clean me out, lol!

I cut way back on snusing to one piece every 2-3 hrs and drank only water for the occasional hiccups and so far symptoms have improved. I also been parking them further front in my mouth to prevent too much drip.


Still reeling over Grov. Svardt this morning, good stuff for a pick-me up.

I tried Catch Eucalyptus which is a nice mild snus and the Catch vanilla/mint (Best tasting so far compared to Camels).

Hiccups are a symptom of a mild nic overdose.

when using extra sterk you have to be aware that the hiccups then sweating then nausea and stomach ache is a nic overdose.

Just because Thunder does not affect you does not rule out the Oden being too strong for you.

Whatever the labelled nic content its how it is delivered that matters.

Thunder delivers the nicotine slowly. General extra sterk loose is 13mg but delivers the nic quite fast and I feel that much more than thunder. Oden may have a higher PH than Thunder so delivers the nicotine faster and that is what maybe causing the reaction in your stomach.

It used to take like 4 chain smoked cigarettes to get me feeling bad but Snus is more subtle so I have to respect that it could be building up in me by the time I realize it.

I didn't think about how fast it gets shoehorned into you system. I guess it's kinda like the difference in chugging a 12 pack of bud compared to chugging a quart of 130 proof shine. BTW, I also tried the oden's es kanel(tiny little pinch) and was just fine compared to the golf ball sized pinch I grabbed from the other can of oden's. Thanks for the tip my stomach is in debt to you.

As a beginning (to nicotine in general), this has happened to me with the minis. I thought it was from the snus, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the info.

Sometimes when I haven't eaten for a bit and keep it in too long, my stomach starts to turn. Whether eating plays any part of it, I don't know. I assume it does. Anyway, at 17mg, more than 4 times what I intake, I'd imagine it could cause some problems. Maybe you didn't eat for a while before that like I mentioned. Again, I'm not sure if that means much in the first place, but just a thought

Nicotine in general for me really curves my appetite. I think I've lost over 1o pounds in the last few weeks but this was back when I started smoking again.
