Isn't it funny how everyone has a different take on the flavor of Mellow?

Maple syrup, Crown Royal, Roda Lacket, etc, etc...

To me, it tastes like brown sugar or a Caramel.

That has got to be the best example of idiotic blogger drivel I've read so far this year! What is that guy's problem with font sizes?

I hate to say it, but about three quarters of the misinformation on snus out there floating around the net comes from good ole Larry. :P

Not too bad in my opinion.
Schnapps, Peach Schnapps. That's the flavor I always tasted that that reminded me of working in a bar which I could never put my finger on it.

The reason I associated it with Crown Royal was because we used to mix up a drink called a Royal Flush which was just Crown, Peach Schnapps and Cranberry juice.

Going by those two articles I think he's totally worthless. But that's just my opinion based solely on my own very slanted views on the difference between Blogger Drivel and journalism.

Larry's not a bad person, but his opinion of himself is pretty high, and that makes for a lot of bullshit that stems from his keyboard. I've seen some outright lies printed in his blogs, and the rest of it seems to be a strange mixture of self-aggrandizing, rumors, half-truths, paranoid delusion, and arrogant drivel. About 25% of it is actually true info related to snus, but it's usually copied from someone else's blog. If there's any kind of "breaking" snus news, it's usually printed about a week or so AFTER it's already been discussed to death by tobacco forums.

I think his heart is in the right place but his "facts" aren't. He lost all credibility with most of us when he tried convincing us that his drop-shipper deal with Buysnus was not a drop-shipper deal with Buysnus.

I'm fairly new to snus so I guess I don't understand. What's the problem with SnusCentral and Larry Waters? And what kinda of misinformation are we talking about? I'd really like to know.

I'm not a member of his site, so I don't really know what he's spouting off these days, but I remember him once telling me that he didn't "believe" in Grand Prix snus since he had never seen a can. Literally didn't "believe" that the brand existed since he had never seen one in person. Weird.

Other (off the top of my head) things that I've read on Mr. Unz's blogs: Camel Snus is made with sugar, Camel snus is not all tobacco, if you use snus in your upper front gum you will develop a noticeable pocket there within days, Menthol cigarettes are a racist conspiracy in which to hook young black ghetto dwellers, Dip contained fiberglass at one point, menthol contains fiberglass, nicotine is deadlier than heroin, nicotine is MORE ADDICTIVE than heroin, various instances of faulty science applied to tobacco, a whole shit-ton of wild allegations of evil things that were done by tobacco companies (later amended to reflect his new found love of RJ Reynolds), and just a lot of bullshit that I can't recall off the top of my head. I honestly don't remember a time reading one of his "reports" and NOT going "Is this guy for real?"

i tried to stay out of this, but since it came up i will voice my opinion. Larry helped me out alot when I was new to snus, he did offer many opinions of snus to try and many of which helped me out. SnusCentral was the first forum site i participated in, and i was just as active over there as i was over here, but i was banned for my "level of enthusiasm upsetting the mood of the forum", and "my posts trumping the posts of senior members". hence why i post here so much and started my own website (still under construction) and forums. many members of snuscentral followed me to my website and many post here as well. this website as well as the forum i run are way less...i dunno, full of shit. at snuscentral if you can weed through the weird conspiracy theories and funny back stories, you can find snus information, but snuscentral and larry are being marketing by that website as the forefront of snus information and world renowned blah blah blah, i dunno, just too much BS. thats why i like it here and over at my place. we just talk snus and snus info. no weird stories, no drama, nothing. JUST SNUS. and over there it seems like you get everything BUT snus.

and again, this is NOT badmouthing larry or his service. he has helped people switch to snus, and has posted information and done what he feels is best, and i believe his intentions are well (sometimes). but i don't take kindly to the way people are treated there. everyone should have a voice, not just senior members.
