I would be seriously amazed if ANY modern product made to be put in your mouth has anything like fiberglass in it.
Here is a nice paragraph from wikipedia about just this:
Additives
There are few reports confirming exactly what additives are in smokeless tobacco, and it is very likely that brands vary in what and how much of each additive they use. It is widely claimed that glass or fiberglass is mixed into each tin to cause abrasion to the lip, resulting in higher and faster nicotine absorption, but at least in the case of snus, the appearance of glass-like particles may be due to the formation of salt crystals.[19]
The addition of glass to dipping tobacco would not be beneficial for increasing nicotine delivery, as bleeding and inflammation would be likely to reduce the uptake of nicotine.[20] The amount of nicotine absorbed can be controlled by different cutting of the tobacco, increasing the nicotine concentration and raising the pH of the tobacco by adding various salts.[21] An alkaline pH causes more nicotine to be absorbed, especially the free, unprotonated form, but is irritating to the mucosa. Nicotine itself can also irritate the mucosa.
Also, one from Snopes.com. While this article isn't specifically about chewing tobacco, it does mention it about halfway down the page.
Any company that put fiberglass in it's oral tobacco or any tobacco would be sued so far into the ground it wouldn't be funny. Please don't spread unfounded rumors about things.
i'll make some suggestions i usually make to all snubie's comin over from camel frost. i've found many that help in the transition, so i'll offer some of my opinions of what have worked for me and others in yours, well our, situation, as i started the same way you did.
mocca pomegranate - the portion is similiar to camel frost, but it has a more swedish flavor. you'll immediately notice it's saltier, and has a great flavor of apple/red-hots. it's a girlie snus, i think it's actually marketing to girls, but it's fun to keep around. general mini mint - marketing specifically for the US market, this "camel frost killer" is a GREAT first snus. i think you said you already got some. if so, and you like it, i would suggest trying... catch collection fresh//peppermint - it's a great snus, stronger than general mini mint, but has a higher salt content and tastes more "swedish". ettan (white portions) - really one of few non flavored snus that i like, but definately good for a beginner. it has a very mild tobacco taste, it's very good. catch eucalyptus - one of my favorites, it has a very cool flavor. it's minty, and has a slight hint of honey and a healthy salt balance in the background. it comes in white and mini portions, but i usually stick with the white. jakobsson's ice fruit - this is hit and miss. i've heard as much good as i have bad about it. i really like it. it tastes like juicy fruit with a nice hint of salt. offroad cranberry - many people don't like this v2 offering, but i think it compares quite well to skruf cranberry and is actually the superior product. if you like flavored, i suggest trying this one out. gotlandssnus (green) - one of my regulars, a nice "earthy" flavor, with a hint of fig in the background and a good salt balance. it's great with a sobe green tea.
these are suggestions i've made to other snoob's and they usually enjoy them, so i'm throwing these your way. i'm a flavored nazi though, other than ettan
