    Roda Lacket: Tasty Snus

After trying several brands of snus, I opened my first can of Roda Lacket. The flavor is very subtle, this is some mellow snus. Roda isn't really sweet but it does have a "round" flavor in that it's neither harsh nor too soft.

It's easy to see that Roda could be an all day snus. The flavor lasts and again it's neither too strong nor too light in flavor. Roda is a wonderful blend of snus- different than anything else that I've tried so far.

All said, Roda Lacket is going to stay in my rotation. Someone here recommended Roda and I'm happy I tried it.

I am very much looking to try it. I have two cans in the mail as I type. Should be here in the next 2-3 days.

I like your point about an "all day snus" - so far, for me, only Ettan fits that bill.....although Gotebergs Prima Fint is a close second.

I've discovered that some snus is better left to occasional use, rather than all day. Case in point: Skruf Stark. It's good shit by any measure, but do I want to use it from morning till night? No. The same goes for Gotlandssnus.

..............So much snus, so little time..............

Röda has an amazingly fruity flavor which reminds me of fresh prunes.
Sadly though, I find it lacking in the nic department and has a bit of strange consistency which reminds me more of Play-Doh in that I don't really feel it's truly making contact with my skin (and thereby diminishing the nic transfer).
First time I ordered it my Norwegian friend laughingly yelled "Oh man that teenage snus man!"
Anyways, I wish they'd make a (bit) stronger version of it.

Does anyone find it tastes like Dr Pepper?

Röda is on my list-of-never-touch-again snus'es. I don't mind the portions but never got on with the loose. IMHO probe and offroad are a better choice for something sweet

Just goes to show that everyone's different - of all the snus brands I've tried (a lot), Roda is easily my favourite of those that aren't plain tobacco flavoured.

Perhaps if you're not a teenager, you can enjoy Roda as long as you're still really just a big kid.

I find Roda to be a pretty tasty Snus, but it doesn't seem to give me enough nicotine to keep me going. I did recently quit smoking though and I am still having a toughh time, so I seem to prefer strong tobacco flavor with a good nic kick. Maybe in time I will be able to appreciate some of the more mild Snus'.

The only relationship I have with röda lacket is that it's
silly easy to bake. You can make zoo animals with it.

I'm not a big fan of the taste though.

Zoo animals  That image reminds me of the zoo crackers from my childhood.

I really like the taste of RL, more apple or at least fruit like than licorice to me. Only problem is - like stated by many others - the low nicotine factor.

And why doesn't it come in original portion? - and why doesn't Rapé?

                    Argh! :x

They actually put General with Coke and I'd commented that I want to try it with Roda and the Doctor on YouTube (sounds like a bad 70s sitcom). I will try it though and give a full report on here someday. To me, ever since I've become a Snus user, there are few greater waking pleasures, aside from sex, than waking up with a cold glass of Dr. Pepper on ice and a portion of RL in my upper lip.

Continuing the thread, I'm a really big fan of this Snus and find it very versatile in the way that one can pair flavours with beverages and food. It's my fav. everyday snus, along with the General. I reserve all the other snus for intermittent enjoyment.

Try this; After about 5 minutes with a wet portion of Roda Lacket in your upper lip, place the tip of your tongue along the portion and you will find it is so very similar to tasting a black olive!

I'll have to try that. I found recently that my standby Kronan tastes rather floral when drinking cranberry juice.

Though I've only recently gotten into snus, RL is definitely one of my favorites. I adore the taste and while the nicotine isn't as strong as in some of the others I've tried, it still does the trick for me.

                              Mmm

I just ordered a roll on 5 days ago, from buysnus. I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival. Damn, why don't they have express shipping to Canada?
