    Oden's portion bags

Has anyone else had issues with Oden's portion bags being open on one end?
My last two cans both had 4-5 bags already opened. The first few cans I had did not have a problem, but this last batch was awful. I love Oden's flavor, but if this problem doesn't get cleared up I may have to stop buying it. A 1/4 of my snus being defective is not acceptable. I would write the company but no one seems to know who to talk to.

I have had about 4 cans of Odens Kanal, none of them had leaking problems, but they have the worst bags and a very uneven sealing. I have been taking a look at all the portions I get, and the y portion bag sealing is the worst I have seen. Good snus though, my cup of coffee snus in the morning.

No, I have had about 5 cans now with zero issues.

I had one portion that was open in my last tin. None in my current one. Great snus though. I really like the hint of cinnamon. Like stated above, perfect with my coffee in the AM.

A few in my current tin had a little hole in them, but nothing that stopped me from using the faulty portions. Their sealing technique does seem strange, and looks weird. Good snus tho. Haven't tried the cinnamon, but I'm a fan of the ES portion and los.

I haven't had any problems with Oden's extra sterks, just the classic. A little hole wouldn't bother me much, but these were anywhere from half ot completely open.

Oden's ES has replaced Thunder in my stock. The classic is in my top 10.

No problems with Odens portions so far. However, there was a thread a while back that mentioned the same problem; maybe there are some bad batches out there, I don't know. It looks like people are having problems with General portions, also.

I've read about General Wintergreen portions having problems, but that seems to be the bag "body" not the ends.
Oh well. It's not the end of the world and I understand poop happens. If it's just a freak occurrence I won't worry. That's why I posted to see if it's just my batch or if it's a widespread problem.

I really wish the manufacturer would step up admit who they are.

so help me god. i should have this in my hands today, and if there is one broken portion among those 24 in each tin, then i will personally whip out a straw. sure, the picture is los, but it's portions dammit. and it's my first time for REAL SNUS!!!

zman, I hope you get your order soon. Just so you can start griping about the flavor and stop griping about not having any snus.

zmanzero, I don't know if Oden's sampler is the right choice. It's not unusable but it's maybe the worst snus to choose for new snusers. You have to be pretty acclimatized to snus to not hate this overflavored variant.

I see that you start with strong snus, which isn't a bad idea at all, but you IMHO should have thrown in some Skruf Stark or General Extra Sterk, which are far more refined in taste, maybe also Thunder which even has faint hints of Cope Snuff, as far as my tastebuds are concerned.

Nonetheless, good luck with your first real snus-experiences. I hope your order arrives fast now, just don't expect too much from Oden's.

Just my two cents, not more!

                      Cheers!

I had Odens Extra Stark as one of my first snus experiences and loved it.
No problems with the bags either.

I emailed northerner and they sent me another tin

Haven't had that problem with any of the Oden's I get from Getsnus.

The problem with the General Wintergreen is with the glue that they use to seal the ends of the bags. The ends open up once they get moist and the tobacco starts falling out. It's not a problem with the portion itself, but with the sealed ends.
