    Gotlands green gives me hiccups

This is really weird. I've used over 20 different varieties of snus, and Gotlands green is the only one that gives me hiccups! This sucks because I really like the stuff!

N&J original is the only one that ever gave me hiccups. I think it may be a personal reaction, no rhyme or reason.

The first couple of times I used Pall Mall I had the same problem. It eventually stopped. Hopefully the hiccup monster will leave you alone as well!

Weird. I've never had this happen and I use Gotlands Green a lot. If I remember correctly you use quite a few starks so it shouldn't be the nicotine. Can't see why the flavouring would cause the hiccups either...

Yeah I have no clue. I use Claq Qui, General Onyx, and Nick & Johnny on a daily basis, but about 10 minutes after putting in a portion of gotlands green, I'm hiccuping like crazy.

Hey Dave...Glad to see another Green lover

Just a quick question. Where in your mouth are you putting the portion? I am finding that if I place the portion far back in my mouth I have a higher chance of starting to hiccup. I started putting the Green really far back in my mouth just because it tasted so good and it made me hiccup. As soon as i moved it to the front the hiccuping started. Just a thought that worked for me. Of course if your keeping it in the very front than my post is a complete waste of time

The Greens rock, but they tend to irritate my throat and gums if I use them all day. I had to start cutting back my Green intake.

Gotland portions tend to make me hiccup also. Not every time, but more than any other snus. I don't mind. It's well worth it for the stellar flavor.

Catch Eucalyptus used to do this but it would drip a lot for me. I did the same thing and just moved them up for awhile and then moved them back over time.

Bringing this back from page two.

I just tried the gotland green for the first time. It's ok, nothing I would buy rolls of but different and tasty. It kind of reminds me of jolly ranchers and asprin

But I totally got hiccups from the first one. I dont think its the nicotine content but I could be wrong.

thats strange, i use a lot of gotlands green, its my favorite snus, but never experienced anything but pleasure with it.

i wish there were more flavored snus that i liked besides bergamot and juniper (mostly i perfer tobacco flavor despite the green being my favorite) but they all have a very nauseating artificial flavor ie. skruf tranbar and mocca pomegranit (both taste like cough syrup)

Just started trying out Green and i've had no issues with hiccups. Does seem to bit a tad rougher on the throat than other snus i've tried but nothing major. Only issue i've had with it is it does not taste like what i read in a few reviews. It was likened to an apple like taste and too me it tastes like salty green olives. But since i love green olives,it's an issue i can live with

i've found the same thing with both Gotlands yellow and green. They turn pretty harsh and rough on the throat after 10 minutes
